    i see some other PPT and textbooks in China teach to draw anti-clockwise circuit. the resulting Burgers vector direction is the opposite. I am so confused now...

      does the vector verse matter ? i mean, in my opinion, it's important only the direction (orthogonal to the dislocation if line defect and parallel if the edge defect) and, in this case, evaluating it clockwise or anticlockwise is the same. What do you think?

      It doesn't actually matter clockwise or anticlockwise. What we actually need is if the vector is parallel or perpendicular to the dislocations. So the exact direction is not needed.
