The true tenor king of Barbershop. What I don’t understand is how it can be SO CLEAN and yet sung with SO MUCH EMOTION. 🐐
haha thanks, Niko! You're very kind!
@@TimWaurickMusicthe ice castles tag as it's affectionately known.
Ha Niko Tim’s only the tenor king you sure bout that? 😁😂
Alternate titles:
When your arranger decides to cross the baritone OVER both the lead and tenor
When your baritone and bass and lead and tenor are all sopranos
When your vocalist likes to mess with the voice leading just because he can (and BOY, can he!)
Proof that the baritone always gets the left over note in the chord, no matter how high
What a recording! That D#5 baritone note is RIDICULOUS. Fantastic job, Tim! You never fail to put in my weekly does of barbershop.
Thanks so much!! I appreciate you checking it out!
soprano*
@@EeveeLol Yeah it's soprano range, but the baritone part sings it. Wild stuff from Tim.
One of these days, Tim will be back at contest singing baritone, and I don't think the barbershop world is ready for that kind of awesome!
haha we'll see!! Thanks for the kind words!!
Tim, you're only aloud to do that if I get to sing Bass, brother! (WINK)@@TimWaurickMusic Nice job, as always!
Only if Gary Lewis is the lead...
If this foursome could compete, it would be a slam dunk for gold.
I swear we’ve never appreciated that Tim is an insane baritone as well as an insane tenor, lead and bass. Incredible tag as usual. You make the baritone sound easy!! I gave up the second I tried 😂
Thank you!! I almost gave the second I tried too...🤣
Unfortunately, I can only give it 1 thumb up. It deserves multitudes!!!! Excellent as usual, Tim!
haha love it...thanks, Tim! And just make more accounts and like it more. 🤣Just kidding...please don't do that! 😂
No one can ever complain about your song choice, Tim!
Thank you, Shawn!!
Nothing about your performances ever says “wannabe” at all! You’re a genuine performer who just wants to have fun doing what he loves, and there’s nothing wrong with that! Keep up with the amazing work!!
Thanks so much for the kind words! I appreciate it!
What an amazing Voice!!! BRAVO!!!💞🎶💞
Happy to say that this video was probably the catalyst for my quartet beginning to work on this song as of yesterday.
Nice!!
Unbelievably beautiful! This song was performed at our wedding in 1985. We were married 31 years before he was taken from us way too soon. Thanks for this awesome rendition. It brought back some lovely memories. 💞
❤❤ one of my ALL TIME favorite movies/songs… you ROCK Mr Tim! Thank you for sharing your gifts/talents w us!! 😊
Thank you!! I appreciate that!
A fab chart by one of the most underrated arrangers of all time, brought to life by the GOAT. Thank you so much, Tim!
Thank you so much, Brent!
What can I say?
As awesome as always. Clean, great tone, great rendition, beautiful high notes.
What can I say? Perfect...
Thanks so much!
The Tenor melody arrangement done by Raymond Davis of "Special Feature" made this a classic tag for all times. I heard it done live 4 or 5 times and you could hear a pin drop in the packed crowds who witnessed it.
Raymond sang this so well! He’s the first person I heard sing this!
Definitely one of my favorite recordings from you
Thank you!!
Wow!! Love it! Especially the ending!!! Love you Tim!!
Thanks, mom!! Love you too!
Your vocals and that blend is heavenly!!🥹 God bless us everyone!!😁
BARITONE represent! :)
Oh WOW ‼️‼️‼️‼️
Awesome 👍
This d5 is one of the most redicolous ive ever heard and it looks so easy and it sounds like youre still not on full throttle! Absolutely insane
Thank you, David!
@@TimWaurickMusic youre most welcome! hope all is well with you
WOW tim that end sounds so good with your voice your videos always bring a smile to my face
I love how much fun you seem to be having. It's awesome to watch someone truly enjoy what they love.
I really do enjoy it! Thank you!
amazing as always!!! the eyes of love!!!
Wow! Amazing arrangement and even more amazing voice. Love listening to your clips!
Thank you!!
I remember when I could sing high tenor, this made me want to sing this all day to hit the baritone. If you add some minor key tonalities to it it will add depth of emotion to the song and lyrics like vocal leading.
The only other time i think ive heard this song was Dave Steinmayer's performance with the airmen of note, and both are equally incredible
mind = blown - Absolutely amazing as always!
Thank you!
I am a big fan and watch your videos at least ten times each time. All the videos were good, but I like this video even more because it is a type of song that I really like.
Thank you for your support!
Beautiful! That's all I can say!
Thanks, Brady!!
Incredible!!!
Thank you, my friend!
holy smokes, Incredible
Thank you!!
Stellar vocal quality & artistry. Nice!
Thanks so much, David!!
Amazing as always, and a tribute to an arranger that may not get the recognition he deserves!
Thanks, Bill! I appreciate that..and I agree. Good to hear from you!
So, basically the Tenor takes the Bari, the Bari takes the Tenor, and the tag takes Gold! 🤯🔥🙌🙌🙌
THAT WAS SO GOOD, TIM!! Also you look very dapper 🎩
Thanks so much!!
Blast from the past! I used to play this song on the piano and sing it back in the day. Thanks for bringing back that memory for me, Tim!
Oh my gosh the tonality of the first "found" knocked me off of my feet ehen I first heard it! Amazing performance!
Thanks so much!!
Wow!!! This has to be my favorite song from you Tim!!! Love it!!❤❤
Aww thanks, Bethy!! That means a lot! Love ya!
The most underrated part (poor Bari) outshined them all here. Chills!
You always bring me to tears, Tim! Happy, beautiful, and joyous tears! God’s continuous blessing on you. Thank you!🎼
Thanks so much!
One of my fave songs (and karaoke go-to) . Gorgeous!
Wow this is amazing Tim! This reminds me of a similar version that one the Kidder and Sons did years back.
Thanks, Tyler! It might be the same arrangement!
@@TimWaurickMusicit is but neither the bari or the lead went above the tenor. Instead it was tenor on the post with the lead getting the fifth, bari getting the seventh, and the bass getting the low third.
That's redonculous! Just so epically fantastic. I love it so much!
Thank you! 🙏
Holy cats! WOW!
Thanks!!
You’re amazing!❤
Thank you!!
The song is from a movie called ice castles
bro sings it this clean so effortlessly
Amazing as always! ❤
Thank you, my friend!
Tim you never cease to amaze!
For those who aren't familiar with that song, it is from the movie Ice Castles. The song played during the closing credits of the film and it was based on a female figure skater whose dream was to make the Olympics as she had previously failed to do so before. If you get a chance to, watch the movie.
Nice song Tim love it
Thank you!!
Then there are we baritones who want nothing more than to be a bass.
I get it. Being a bass would be fun!
Tim, Tim, Tim! This is so fantabulously beautiful that I literally burst into tears! How can a human be so perfect with such accuracy that I have chills, while singing with such beautiful and tender emotion? Incredible. I’m in love! 😢😢😢❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much!!
I'm obsessed with your videos, a new fan here, Tim! Your voice touches my heart and ears. 😭❤ I wish I had the range and voice like yours. I also do the same, but mostly church songs, and choral pieces. But it's not as impressive as your videos. 😭 It's way tooooooooo cheap and plain. 😅 Keep inspiring Timmmmm!!! I love youuuu!!!! ❤️❤️
Wow awesome work Tim! Keep it up 👍👍👍
hehehhe yeah
I had no idea this was a whole song and not just a tag on my favs list, I love it!!
This song was in a movie called ice castles
Yeah! I first learned it as a tag. It’s actually a really pretty song
On some ringmasters sht right there
hahaha I could totally see them doing that!
Hey, Baritones are people too. I would know.
haha this is true!!
Our assistant director is a baritone and he is the opposite. He used to sing tenor and he staunchly believes that in men's barbershop, the tenor (or highest voice) should not go above a C.
For some groups, that is probably appropriate!
Let’s go! Less of a wanna be, and more of an amazing soprano!
😃😃
This is, of course, perfection. I love it more than I can express. But I am kind of curious what it would sound like with the rest of the VS boys... Any chance we can get that some day??
I can always try to get them on it. That would be fun!
@@TimWaurickMusicanother Tim Waurick post with Eric Dalbey taking the high third and Jonny Moroni getting the middle fifth while Chris locks the octave below Tim on the ending chord.
Alternate title: when your baritone is Kohl Kitzmiller 😂
❤
"your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should"
Have you ever considered going for gold on all parts? I think that if you get the right group for each part, you'd be a shoo-in!
Thank you. That would be a lot. 😂 And I really just enjoy singing with Vocal Spectrum, so I’m not sure if I’ll be doing that anytime soon! 😂
Mate how are you not on Broadway winning Tonys left and right?
Please, can you sing some sacred music? Be blessed!
Thanks for the recommendation. I have plenty of that planned!
Do you have any plans to do live performances in the near future? I would fly out to watch 🤩
I sing live with my quartet, Vocal Spectrum regularly. The next 2 weekends in Illinois and near St Louis. And then a bunch more around Christmas - and in Europe and Asia next year. Vocalspectrum.com has our show info. And I’m also doing a solo show up in Toronto on December 2! www.harbourtownsound.ca. Hope to see you soon!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Will we be seeing you this weekend in New Hampshire? :)
Wish I could have been there. Hopefully again in the future!
As a barbershop bari, I resent the idea lol. I have a great range, but forget that lol
Hahaha come on, you got it!
I know the answer is probably no, but I'm trying to write some original tags. When I finish one, is there any chance at all I could get you to sing one? If not, I get that, and I appreciate the like, and response. Also, I got with a group of guys from my chorus, and sang the Bari on this. It was hard, but felt so amazing to be up there! I now see what I've been missing out, and now am a Bari that wants to be a soprano lol
Thanks for checking out my video!! This tag was voted on by my awesome Patreon community! If you enjoy what I'm doing and want me to keep doing more, please check out my Patreon! We’ve got learning tracks for my tags, we vote on content that I'll be doing for the channel, we chat on discord and sometimes we even eat Cornbread! So check it out if you think you might like it: www.patreon.com/TimWaurick.
I'll have to eat tons of cornbread to begin sounding half as good as you do, Tim. You're the person who made me love barbershop, instead of just liking it. Next time I see you at one of these barbershop events, I'll buy you a beer instead of just showing my admiration to you as you walk into an elevator 😂
How does the saying go? It ain't boasting if you can pull it off? Or something like that?
Have you done as the world caves in?
No, but it is on my list of tags to do
Nope. Count me out! lol
Hahaha come on, you got it!
Please come up with a different name? Yes, it's accapella.
