@@lisariya I wouldn't go that far. But, I agree Yebba has got a great voice and does pump a lot of emotion into it. Listened to her for the first time based on this reply. Thank you for showing me a new artist to add to my play list.

I agree with you, Steve! When I heard this song the 1st time, it was without subtitles, it tightens my throat and I don’t speak French! I never saw/hear a singer, who delivers such plenty of emotions. So much, that you feel it. Ok, she didn’t write this song, but she made it to her song! Nobody can do it better, than she! MASTERCLASS A woman with a giant voice and a huge soul….a woman, who must be beloved!
Lara Fabian est une grande chanteuse, en France c'est une véritable star trop mal comprise par certaines personnes car elle vit à 100% ses chansons et ça peut déranger ... ❤

Guys, Lara sang this for you from a 1999 Concert. She has been recognized as a wonderful international singer throughout her career. Her interpretation of lyrics and how she puts her whole body into her music is legendary. And, you might want to know Lara has had a big influence on Dimash and they are good friends today. Thanks for a wonderful reaction. No words and pauses were necessary. The expressions on your faces said it all. Thanks.
Oh snap !! I never thought i'd see you guys react to this one, it's such a masterpiece !! And She didn't even write this song, the original was released back in 1973 from Serge Lama a french singer, but she interprets it soooo beautifully, she totally owns in lol. I can see it really touched you, i'm glad you've experienced it !! Greaaaat vid guys !!! 👌🙏❤
@dnk13 @Albert and Cynthia You're right; the song was written by Serge Lama. But I.M.O. Lara Fabian expresses the raw emotion of this beautiful song the best. I think that's because Lara Fabian has often been hurt by love and life too. She relives these emotions on stage and her renditions of such an emotional songs are something else altogether. I've never heard a singer who could convey emotions in a song as well as Lara. Even Serge Lama said in an interview; that Lara's rendition of Je Suis Malade is the best. Interesting fact: Lara and Serge Lama became friends and they sang together several times * (Je Suis Malade & other songs) Serge Lama even once sang her special song * (Je t'aime) as a tribute to Lara Fabian and that made her quite emotional. ruclips.net/video/Wqe3H8EuAaE/видео.html
@@AlbertandCynthia Thank you for this reaction video on Lara Fabian - Je Suis Malade. I discovered Lara Fabian 2 years ago and I absolutely fell in love with her music! Dimash Kudaibergen idolizes Lara Fabian also; for a very good reason! Could you please, please, please; react to at least one more of her songs and if possible several? She is an absolutely fantastic singer and other highly recommended songs are: 1) Lara Fabian - Parce Que tu Pars / Live Nue ruclips.net/video/Z07mNs0-mHA/видео.html ("Parce Que tu Pars" is a french song that means: because you are leaving -> sorry I can not find a version with English subtitles \ But translation of the lyrics in English can be found on the web ) 2) Lara Fabian - Caruso (Italian song with English lyrics translation) ruclips.net/video/zYZWbzEmWY0/видео.html Lara Fabian Caruso digital clarity RUclips (same song in better video quality but without English Lyrics translation) ruclips.net/video/28CMa1aOXuU/видео.html 3) Lara Fabian - Perdere l'Amore (Italian song with English lyrics translation) ruclips.net/video/jJ_k43OOsXU/видео.html Lara Fabian - Perdere L'amore (same Italian song in better video quality but without English Lyrics translation) ruclips.net/video/wtP7oFpp-6o/видео.html 4) Lara Fabian - Je t'aime ( French song with French and English subtitles) ruclips.net/video/qO3b-MyyTZg/видео.html I have to give a little background by this song *(Lara Fabian - Je t'aime) Lara Fabian was going trough a very difficult time personally & professionally. Because of this, a group of her fans decided to surprise her and sing her own song to her. And the whole stadium chimed in. Can you imagine that maybe 10.000 fans singing your song to lift you up? "Je t'aime" means I love you, but her fans sing to her "on t' aime" and that means we love you. This singing for her by her fantastic fans; made her very emotional towards the end of the song. Absolutely magical and touching to see how this crowd was lifting her spirit up by doing this. Later she said that because of this: she knew that life was worth living further! Goosebumps and maybe even tears guaranteed!!! 6) Lara Fabian- Broken Vow *(Live Concert From Lara With Love / English song ) ruclips.net/video/FNVR0yK8Ec8/видео.html 7) Lara Fabian Adagio *(Live Concert From Lara With Love / English song ) ruclips.net/video/jKtNuLG5jAo/видео.html 8) Lara Fabian - To Love Again *(English song) ruclips.net/video/iLJp818HLSY/видео.html I am sorry that most of the video quality is not that good. But that's because most of Lara Fabian's fantastic live concerts go back 15-20 years. And unfortunately the video quality and you-tube quality was not that good then. She was and is the best performer at her live concerts; because she can convey raw emotions via the stage. I like her more live than on her studio albums or music videos. And while I love many of her most recent songs; i.m.h.o. as a young woman she shone the absolute best in those live concerts! Today she is still world-class, but back then she was an absolute stellar singer. *(Maybe one of the best pop singers)
Lara Fabian is considered among the best singers of all time, she is part of the Olympus of vocal goddesses, she is a small but select group where only those who demonstrate a talent beyond normal have access.
your generation is taught to avoid sadness and adversity. these are important parts of life. you just witnessed the most emotional performance I've ever seen
I am so thankful every time I hear this performance. I think there is no other singer who put emotion and storytelling in this beautiful way into a song. Very touching every time you listen to.
Privileged to see her sing this live. Her voice is incredibly powerful but, even in a concert setting, you can tell how effortlessly she can project something this large with barely raising her voice. She said she never sings this song the same way twice. I have to say it was the best concert I’ve ever been to based on content and her technique. So lucky to be in the second row. She writes most all of her songs and speaks in over 10 languages.
This song is a masterpiece here in france we know this song since more than 30 years!!!! One of the most beautiful love song! lara is unique, very good to give emotions, express what the song is about, and her voice is amazing! i had the chance to see her acoustic concert in belgium some 15 years ago i think, and she did this song it was amazing because the end was acapella, the music stops, she pull down the micro and finish the song really acapella, the all crowd was silent and then when she finish the last "i'm sick" she falled on the floor, very theatrical and so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can find the video it's from the show called "lara en toute intimité"
@@manukeo5498 Céline is huge but Lara is still an international star. Her career is not as big for many reasons : conflicts with Sony and a toxic relationship with Walter Afanasieff that ruined her career in the US, didn't have a René Angelil who made all the right decisions and protected her, personal issues etc... but she's the best selling belgian artist and popular in many countries. They're both considered as two of the best vocalists, two vocal references and both mainly sing ballads but yeah, overall they're different singers. Lara is more complete tho, as she's also a songwriter-composer-producer.
I watch the both of you through out the performance of this video, and you reacted exactly like the spectators at the concert. I was there the night this video was recorded, and it was complete silence. We were all amazed by her performance, and many had tears in their eyes. I'm so pleased you've discovered Fabian. She's known for her sterling technique, rich voice, powerful belts, and supernatural ability to use all the tools in her toolbox to convey the emotional heart of every piece, phrase by phrase, word by word. She took Je Suis Malade and tweaked it considerably, truly making it one of "her" signature songs. She's fluent and writes in French, English, Italian and Spanish. I only discovered her myself about 18 months ago and for the first time in my life have become a Superfans. 😉 I think you'd really enjoy discovering more of her work. Can't go wrong sticking with this same live concert for awhile, From Lara With Love. She wrote Adagio, Broken Vow, You're Not From Here in English. Her covers of the Italian Caruso and Pedere L'Amore in that concert are both astonishing. (Vids with subtitles are available.) Hope to see more from you. As empathetic reactors, Fabian will move you every time. Peace. 🖖🏽
:: This song was written par Alice Dona and originally sung by the french singer Serge Lama in 1973. The mere fact that you think Lara Fabian lived something sad proves that a great song can pass the test of time and she is an outstanding singer :) ::
Powerful performance. You can tell she’s completely haunted by the song before she sings, and it takes her a while to compose herself at the end. She did have breakups in her life, I think anyone can relate to her pain. This was amazing!
She is about 25 years older, but Dimash has carried a torch for her. She has written at least one song for him and he performs songs she had performed. Here is Dimash, Lara and Aida performing a trio. You can easily tell how the demeanor of Dimash immediately changes when he turns from Aida to Lara and how he hovers over Lara like a hawk.
It does matter. The man that wrote that song, Serge Lama, was truly inspirational. It's like saying "It doesn't matter who inspired Salai, his paintings are mastefull". Like, Da Vinci worked hours to train the dude. A bit of credit where credit is due doesn't remove anything from the performance
@@k.v.7681 i assumed that was the case however; i am still referring to the vocal cover of this song and Lara has no equal in this case. many song writers have sung their own songs and there has been many singers who have performed it so well that their versions were so good that they were said to own that song.
Je Suis Malade is a popular, famous song in France but no one sings it like Lara! This is from "With Love from Lara", probably one of her best concerts. Story is that she had just gone through a very public breakup. Thanks for watching all the way through so that you could see her emotional shaking at the end as she tried to leave the song. Most reactors cut it off at the end of the final note and miss Lara's involvement in the song. Touching moment....
i hope you guys react to more songs from her! she always gives 200% in her performance! Adagio, broken vow, you're not from here, caruso,.... so many good songs!
This song was written and sung by Serge Lama. She sings so well and conveys so many emotions that you would think she is talking about her own story but she is not ^^.
French and emotions. We don’t play when we talk about love lol… Adele would sound like a schoolgirl next to that. Lara is the Belgian Celine Dion but we love both like ours :) Thanks for that reaction.
This is what Lara Fabian does, she is an absolute master at mastering and controlling every aspect of her voice, her movement, her looks, her posture, and she transmits her emotions though her songs. She does this in a way that VERY few singers can do (in my humble opinion). I feel what she sings, every single word if it, right into my heart and the deepest of my soul. She is able to completely capture someone, even before she has even sung one single word. Amazing!
Hi, " Je suis malade " is a song by Serge Lama, released in 1973 as a single. Written by Serge Lama to music composed by Alice Dona Let me add this: Dalida and Serge Lama “Je suis malade ” / Official Clip on You Tube A friend from France
Hi. Sorry for my english. The original singer is Serge Lama. He's a French singer (Lara Fabian is from belgium but very popular in France). The song is from 1973. This performance is from 1999.
Lara must come back to the present at the end of the song. She's not just singing the song, she's acting out the song. All her gestures and facial expressions are reflected in the text. Je suis malade" (I am sick) is a song by French singer and songwriter Serge Lama. It was released in 1973 (as a single and on his album titled Je suis malade). Serge Lama's original version wasn't particularly popular in France. Many have sung a cover of the original. Lara's performance is the best in my opinion. But who am I to judge, compare it yourself, listen and watch. Because of the combination, singing and expression, Lara creates something unique. That applies not only to this song but also to her other songs such as Adagio. She has sang God Help the Outcasts (Dieu Aide Les Exclus) from Disney's Hunchback Of Notre Dame.
David foster proposed to Michael Bolton for his show to do the mixed duo to sing the prayer Michael asks him " which of the singers ?" David answers him " with Lara Fabian the best in the planet" " ok but she lives in Europe answers in turn Michael and David tells him it's nothing we are going to invite her
El mundo le debe mucho a Lara. Poner las emociones en un escenario no es fácil. Es estar desnudo frente a miles de personas. Y ella lo hizo un arte que llega al alma porque es honesto. Gracias por tanto Lara, y perdón por tan poco.
I love her voice, and she have also a emotional love song which she did live and the audience sang it instead of her in the beginning and changed it into that it was for herself! Glad that i have met Lara twice here in the Netherlands. 🙏❤
You might have noticed that she was already into the song before she started singing. That brings to attention the amount of emotions she displayed throughout this performance, including and especially her vocal abilities and skills. She was emotionally drained at the end that it took her a good while to recover and regain her composure. Only truly brilliant artist can attest to this kind of performance. This brings to mind her performance in 2003 of the same song...truly the one and only of you will see and listened to there. The pianist gave her one look and left. It must've been the first to him... Interested? I liked your reaction.
@Albert and Cynthia Hello (new French subscriber here), This song should be named "WOW!" or "The WOW! effect song" lol. I saw your emotion grow in measure that the song was delivered. Did you know there's a true story behind this song which is beautiful? Serge Lama the author and first singer of this song, talked to his friend Alice Dona who's French pianist composer, the heartache that has occupied his whole life since the final departure of his mistress for Morocco. At the time (the song was outed in 1973), he was married, had two children. But he's not at all happy in his marriage. He stays because of his children. His secret affair with this woman lasted 2 years before she left to settle abroad. She too was married and has been offered a very important position in Morocco. After two years of immeasurable grief, he confesses to his friend Alice that this absence makes him totally sick. After Serge is gone. Alice Donna composes a music in piano thinking about what Serge told her. She calls him back later to let him listen to music she has composed. Serge Lama will say later, this song is a hold-up in my career. Because as soon as I heard the music she offered me, the words jostled in my head. Back home, he explains that it took barely ten minutes to write the full story line of the song. And it only took him a few hours to refine the text and arrive at this final result, it was so obvious to him who knew exactly what he was suffering from. The story could have ended there. But sometimes life is more beautiful than the most beautiful love songs. Indeed, ten years later, he again crosses paths with this woman since she came back live in France and he still loves secretly. She's in the process of divorce, he's already separated from his wife. They therefore become a couple and together have a little boy. They stayed together until her death there's few time ago from a serious illness at the age of 72. Serge Lama declares this song is essential in his repertoire and that he can't not sing it on stage. He explains that every time he starts this song, silence falls and tears start to stream down the cheeks of his audience. It's magic, he said. He admits that's extremely difficult for him to resist and not cry when he sings it too. You now know everything there is to know about this song which for me has no equal in the world. Best regards, P.S.: Serge Lama, in 1973 sent the dedicated album from which this song came to my parents just before it was outed (I think my mom always has this historical LP with her. She's 73 yrs now, my dad not still from this world unfortunately). They had known each other with Serge a few years earlier when my father was a car driver for the staff and the stars who performed at the Olympia, the most famous Parisian scene.
Lara Fabian is definitely one of the top 3 voices in the world. You should continue "Adagio", "Caruso" or "Broken vow". Personally, I also invite you to discover the one who has been the undisputed queen in France for more than 35 years ---> Mylène Farmer 'Avant que l'ombre" (Before the shadow) (2006) I was in the audience and it surpassed any other artist shows I have seen in my life because this woman is really "special" and what she produces on the fans is impossible to describe ...
This song is a popular french song composed by Alice Dona and originally written and performed by French singer Serge Lama in 1973. “Je suis malade” song is about romantic love that creates illness and deprivation. It’s the kind that’s not healthy for you. It tells a true story. When Serge Lama wrote it, he was madly in love with a married woman who will be his wife later, until his death.
Je suis malade is a song originally from Serge Lama but she sings it beautifully. You should listen to the one she sang from Whitney Houston "I will always love you". Lara Fabian sings in 8 languages
The song is a cover from another legendary singer among french called Dalida, and if you're interested a movie about her tragic life called after the same stage name was made a couple of years ago.
You just stumbled on a worldwide living legend...everywhere it seems than in the US. She also happens to be one of Dimash's idols. He covers several of her songs (Adagio, Mademoiselle Hyde, Love is a dream, etc.). Believe it or not, this was a cover, but she sang it better than the original by Serge Lama who wrote the song. She is one of the very best ever at acting and emoting the lyrics. And just like Dimash, she sings in many languages. Flawlessly.
the original song is a 1973 single of a male french singer called Serge Lama and it was covered (the same year) by Italian-french singer Dalida. Lara Fabian covered this song in 1994.
it's a song about a breakup that kills you slowly and makes you sick. the impact of the words in French is even more powerful and it's a man who wrote this song about feeling so desperate that he was no good for anything
Great reaction... it was amazing to see how specially Albert was getting increasingly tenser (don't know if that's a word) while the song was playing... very pure!
Héhé really nice guys to watch this!!! C’est un classique français écrit et chanté par Serge Lama dans les 70’ mais Lara Fabian l’aura marquée de sa voix si intense🥰🥰
The song was originally by a French singer who experienced huge love and it seemed to me that his lover had left him..a powerful old song..and this singer Lara Fabian is a great singer.
What you need to know is that this song was written in 20 minutes in 1973 by a singer named Serge Lama before being covered by Lara Fabian. And the best part (it's a well-known story in France) is that this song is a true story. The singer was married and met a woman who was also not free. This song was a way to put words to his pain. But the story ended well, the singer and the woman to whom this song was addressed then formed a happy couple. Serge Lama is still alive, his wife died in 2016.
she can speak 6 language and sing in 12 languages .. She's amazing 😎👍 few songs from Lara Fabian --> Adagio ( same concert of this song je suis malade ) ... Caruso live ..
You weren't listening a song, ypu were listening a story, and whem we hear someone telling a story, we don't interrupt... And in this case, it left you speechless...
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Great reaction to one of the most special artists around. I won't repeat all of the wonderful things already said about Lara, which I of course agree with, but I wanted to compliment you on your reverence for the song and for not being afraid to show your respect and emotion for both the song and her amazing performance. I get so tired of reactors that try and stay upbeat all of the time, even for a devastatingly emotional song like this ... or they tear up and all they do is continue to apologize for showing emotion, which is ridiculous because they are obviously experiencing emotion which is what makes us human. Unfortunately, many people have trouble expressing emotion or are afraid to, especially male reactors who try to "front" all of the time. I think that you explained it very well and I'm glad that you addressed the subject. Mad respect. Keep up the great reactions, you two are adorable. 💜 From Dallas
Lara’s Version is incomparable. But their is an Internationally known world class 4 member crossover vocal harmony group from South Korea called “Forestella” with millions of followers and they give an incredible performance of je suis Malade. Your goosebumps will have goosebumps! And your face might be inundated with tears. It’s a sad song and they illicit the sadness but their harmonies are angelic. Their mother tongue is korean and they probably spent months training for this and mastering French and performed it in front of their home crowd of thousands of fans. You tube “Forestella Je Suis Malade” You will thank me if you do react publicly or if your subscribers privately react. All love, All
Je suis malade (song) The real story of the song When the song was written, Lara Fabian was only 3 years old. Je suis malade is a song by Serge Lama, released in 1973 as a single and on the album Je suis malade. Written by Serge Lama on a music composed by Alice Dona, the song became the most emblematic title of the repertoire of Serge Lama who regularly takes it on stage 3. History The song Je suis malade was inspired by a real heartbreak of Serge Lama, the story of a long secret relationship. In 1969, the singer met Michèle Potier in Chamonix. Love was a certainty, but neither of them was free: he had married Daisy Brun, his press agent, in 1968, and she was married and had a son. They love each other in secret for several years and promise to regain their freedom, but Michèle hesitates and finally flees him and settles in Morocco for professional reasons. Lama is desperate, he wants to put words on his pain without succeeding, until the day he confides in his friend Alice Dona: "this story hurts me, it makes me sick. Back home, at the piano, Alice Dona, composes in a few hours a melody [...], that very quickly, she makes the singer listen. It was a revelation and Serge Lama wrote almost the entire text in one go. He will say later "The 80% of the song I wrote in 20 minutes, it's almost a shame [...] it came out of my heart so much that I [...] immediately felt that this song had something that the others didn't have". However, nothing is done. His record company Philips does not believe in the song and to impose it Lama threatens to leave if he is refused to record it3. He wins his case and soon Je suis malade is released as a single. Unfortunately, the radio programmers prefer the B side, the lively and cheerful song Les P'tites Femmes de Pigalle which becomes a hit6. At every opportunity, however, Lama sings Je suis malade, on television, on stage [...], recognition will come, not (in this period), through him, but from a cover by Dalida very touched by the subject of the song and whose inspired and desperate interpretation will seduce the public. After that, Serge Lama's popularity was turned upside down and he definitely became a recognized and popular singer-songwriter4. Many years later, the artist confides: "An LP of Serge Lama at the time it was worth 4000-5000 albums [...] But after Les Ballons rougesNote 1 it is 1 million4." Recognition came for the creator of Je suis malade, in 1974, when one evening on the stage of the Olympia in Paris, Serge Lama completed the song by interpreting it without a microphone a cappella in front of an audience conquered by a triumph. Another happiness, the return of Michele, free and together, they give birth to a boy named Frederic in 1981 and marry ten years later8. Michèle died in 2016 at 71 years, victim of a stroke9. Her death gives the song another dimension, Lama who has not given up singing it on stage says: "Every night when this song comes, I know it is an obstacle that must be jumped [...], it usually takes me a minute to recover [...], this song deserves to be given everything". Words on behalf of the father Je suis malade is doubly autobiographical for the singer-songwriter who includes in this story of desperate love feelings from his childhood. The anger, the suffering that Serge Lama expresses with the verses "I am sick as when my mother went out in the evening, And that she left me alone with my despair" or "I am like an orphan in a dormitory". These words to the attention of his lover to whom he reproaches his decline, it is in fact to his mother that he addresses them, casting himself in the skin of his father, formerly a singer of operetta in search of success, who, pushed by his wife, gave up his career [...]. This father to whom Lama "lends his voice" when he claims: "You deprived me of all my songs, You emptied me of all my words, Yet I had talent before your skin. This period of his childhood, Lama has already evoked it in the song half sweet and half bitter Le temps de la rengaine (in 1968 it opens the album D'aventures en aventures): "[...] Mama dreamed that she had a real kitchen, While Daddy was barking at the Capucines, It was a nice time that this time [...], One day daddy sold margarine, So that mommy could sing in her kitchen, It was a hard time that time, I have tears in my eyes when I think of all that".
Interesting fact: Lara and Serge Lama became friends and they sang together several times * (Je Suis Malade & other songs)
Serge Lama even once sang her special song * (Je t'aime) as a tribute to Lara Fabian and that made her quite emotional.

She is an absolutely fantastic singer and other highly recommended songs are:

4) Lara Fabian - Je t'aime ( French song with French and English subtitles) ruclips.net/video/qO3b-MyyTZg/видео.html
I have to give a little background by this song *(Lara Fabian - Je t'aime) Lara Fabian was going trough a very difficult time personally & professionally.

8) Lara Fabian - To Love Again *(English song) ruclips.net/video/iLJp818HLSY/видео.html
I am sorry that most of the video quality is not that good.

I'm french fan of Lara Fabian I heard this song 1M times... every times I cry I can't contain 🥺
Welcome to Lara's world. Lara fabian is fabulous.she puts her soul, heart in her live performances. She is amazing and such a story teller.
I first bought Lara Fabian’s album back in 1999, and instantly fell in love with her song ‘Adagio’. She’s one of the best vocalists of all time. ❤️
she's a so great performer, that she put all her soul in all her songs.
One of the most beautiful love song! lara is unique, very good to give emotions, express what the song is about, and her voice is amazing! i had the chance to see her acoustic concert in belgium some 15 years ago i think, and she did this song it was amazing because the end was acapella, the music stops, she pull down the micro and finish the song really acapella, the all crowd was silent and then when she finish the last "i'm sick" she falled on the floor, very theatrical and so good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you can find the video it's from the show called "lara en toute intimité"
how do the French view lara vs celine are they the same style our different and if there different how so...
Can't compare .
Celine is a World star
Lara is a national star
Différent style too .
@@cherrismythe3000 For a long time the lara Fabian has been mocked in France, she was described as being the caricature of Celine Dion
We are very proud of her, she comes from Belgium and represent us in a beautiful way. She is simply, incredible.
She is the best singer on Planet Earth. ❤
I watch the both of you through out the performance of this video, and you reacted exactly like the spectators at the concert. I was there the night this video was recorded, and it was complete silence. We were all amazed by her performance, and many had tears in their eyes. The pause before the next number was prolonged for reasons.
I think you'd really enjoy discovering more of her work. Can't go wrong sticking with this same live concert for awhile, From Lara With Love. She wrote Adagio, Broken Vow, You're Not From Here in English. Her covers of the Italian Caruso and Pedere L'Amore in that concert are both astonishing. (Vids with subtitles are available.)
Hope to see more from you.
Lara Fabian est ma chanteuse préférée.. écoutez le live de sa chanson Adagio . Thanks .
Je préfère sa chanson " je t'aime " ou requiem pour un fou chanté avec Johnny Hallyday au Stade de France !
She is about 25 years older, but Dimash has carried a torch for her.
She has written at least one song for him and he performs songs she had performed.

This performance should be in a text book. Classic way to sing a song. I love her so much!
This song was written and is from a French singer named Serge Lama. So yes Lara covered this song but she did it perfectly with so much emotions
it really doesn't matter who originally sang this song because Lara Fabian truly owns it, now you know why she was so adored by Dimash

Amazing!

Hi.
Sorry for my english. The original singer is Serge Lama. He's a French singer (Lara Fabian is from belgium but very popular in France).
The song is from 1973. This performance is from 1999.
You both just gave the perfect reaction throughout this video performance, "stunned silence" ! I love it !
What I like about Lara is that she is by nature, dramatic-in the best sense of the word. A real chansonniere.
David foster proposed to Michael Bolton for his show to do the mixed duo to sing the prayer Michael asks him " which of the singers ?" David answers him " with Lara Fabian the best in the planet" " ok but she lives in Europe answers in turn Michael and David tells him it's nothing we are going to invite her
When you not touched you have a heart of stone! What a voice, what a song and what a singer! WOW!⚘💔😢
I like how, like Lara at the end of the song, you guys were kind of stunned and needed a moment to recover from that performance.

@Albert and Cynthia Hello (new French subscriber here),
This song should be named "WOW!" or "The WOW! effect song" lol.
Best regards,
P.S.: Serge Lama, in 1973 sent the dedicated album from which this song came to my parents just before it was outed (I think my mom always has this historical LP with her.
Personally, I also invite you to discover the one who has been the undisputed queen in France for more than 35 years ---> Mylène Farmer 'Avant que l'ombre" (Before the shadow) (2006)
I was in the audience and it surpassed any other artist shows I have seen in my life because this woman is really "special" and what she produces on the fans is impossible to describe ...
ils sont choqués 😂 on est tellement fier d’elle ♥️

Waw....je suis malade...... one of my favorite song.
Merci beaucoup.

Je suis malade (song) The real story of the song
When the song was written, Lara Fabian was only 3 years old.
Je suis malade is a song by Serge Lama, released in 1973 as a single and on the album Je suis malade. Written by Serge Lama on a music composed by Alice Dona, the song became the most emblematic title of the repertoire of Serge Lama who regularly takes it on stage 3.
History
The song Je suis malade was inspired by a real heartbreak of Serge Lama, the story of a long secret relationship.
Many years later, the artist confides: "An LP of Serge Lama at the time it was worth 4000-5000 albums [...] But after Les Ballons rougesNote 1 it is 1 million4."
Recognition came for the creator of Je suis malade, in 1974, when one evening on the stage of the Olympia in Paris, Serge Lama completed the song by interpreting it without a microphone a cappella in front of an audience conquered by a triumph.
Words on behalf of the father
Je suis malade is doubly autobiographical for the singer-songwriter who includes in this story of desperate love feelings from his childhood. This father to whom Lama "lends his voice" when he claims:
"You deprived me of all my songs, You emptied me of all my words, Yet I had talent before your skin.
This period of his childhood, Lama has already evoked it in the song half sweet and half bitter Le temps de la rengaine (in 1968 it opens the album D'aventures en aventures):
"[...] Mama dreamed that she had a real kitchen, While Daddy was barking at the Capucines, It was a nice time that this time [...],
One day daddy sold margarine, So that mommy could sing in her kitchen, It was a hard time that time, I have tears in my eyes when I think of all that".
