You "won" the moment you engaged other fighting men in battle. Dead soldiers are as much winners as the men who kill them. Because they, more than anyone, epitomize the manly art of war.
Look at our kamerad Klaus at 0:30. He looks so strong and powerful and with that weapon surely he is invincible? But no, they shot him down like he was a dog and then celebrated. The fiends! And they are not even soldiers, but civilians! What shame they bring on our mighty forces!!!! And again at 1:04, look how erect his weapon in the back is. Surely we cannot fail now?! We have them cornered and cannot surely let this slip? Damn, they have taken us from behind! How many times must we fall for these dastardly tricks of theirs?! Our kameraden fall all around us but finally I have that bitch in my sights at 3:14 and she knows what's coming. But I hesitate as I eye her up. What was I thinking of Klaus?! And I pay as I am taken from behind AGAIN!!!! I thought that bastard was dead but he is on me like a leopard. He should be weak and I stronger but I don't know what happened. Did I forget my Weetabix that morning?! I don't know but my body sags and weakens as the air is blocked from my windpipe and for me the war is over - permanently! But you fight on but fall for another old trick when you enter the cottage and that bastard took you from behind also, and your fate was the same as mine. But at least this one is strong and powerful and there is no shame in falling to him. But woe, for how much more can we continue to take these casualties Klaus?!

yes, the soldier in 3:14 was already savoring his victory but he didn't realize that the enemy still had enough strength to send him into a deep sleep I hope the soldier can wake up from that
@@adammiller786 I agree... he got cocky and paid the price. But, like you, I hope he wakes up from that too. He's to handsome to die like that. That hulking body deserves a bullet or two to take him out. Plus when you die by the bullet, you have something to show for it... a bloody uniform at least... rather than a "clean" kill from being strangled.

But he was interrupted by the partisan who should be dead or at least dying, and I don't know how that fucking bastard had the strength to strangle him, what a beast! You can see him trying to squirm free, hypoxia and suffocation can make one lose strength gradually, but should not be so fast - I don't know if we could do better if we were him?

@@adammiller786 Each brave soldier died so well, some gunned down in a spray of machine gun bullets, some choked out, but every one of them took it like a man, knowing that's their purpose in life... to kill and be killed. I wish I coulda been there to do the same.

@@pelayoestrada9258 Whatever it takes... It's his life or yours in war. Choke him out, and then put a bullet in his gut while he's at your mercy. If you don't and he comes to, it could be you catching a bullet. Better his belly than yours.
