    Very pretty but seems like a lot of expense and work to plant annuals in September given how soon the frost comes here in Oregon.

    I have a blue spruce - not as wide as the “beauty” ( which I have , incredibly huge) in full sun. The one side gets no sun so half is dying maybe 4-5 branches up. I hate to cut it but I think I should - what would you suggest to plant under it?

      Here is a link to a variety of evergreen shrubs that are good in zone 8, there are a few traditional such as a small arborvitae, but a few others you might not be aware of too, www.provenwinners.com/plants/search/advanced?duration=Shrub&shrub-type=Evergreen&height-category=Short&hardiness-zone=8

    Hi, can quick fire fab be planning at a sun area? Zone 10a, summer the area has morning and mid afternoon sun, shade after 5pm. Is this spot ok? Thanks for your reply.

    • @ProvenWinnersYouTube
      @ProvenWinnersYouTube  3 года назад

      No, please see the attached page, this plant is only recommended for zones up to zone 8. And the reason is not the heat during the day, but the plant needs the soil to cool to a certain temp at night to encourage the blooms of the following season. www.provenwinners.com/plants/hydrangea/quick-fire-fab-panicle-hydrangea-hydrangea-paniculata

    What is the difference between this tiny tot arborvitae and anna's magic ball?

    • @ProvenWinnersYouTube
      @ProvenWinnersYouTube  4 года назад

      The main difference is color, as you can see here in the link of all of our thuja plants. The sizes vary a bit too, but Anna's Magic Ball does have much more of a yellow coloring with Tiny Tot more of a true green. Hope this helps. www.provenwinners.com/plants/search?keywords=thuja&hardiness_zone=All&duration=All&flower-color=All&light_requirement=All&available_online=All

    • @ProvenWinnersYouTube

      Yes, here is a list of our heuchera that will work in your zone, with your heat the more shade the better. www.provenwinners.com/plants/search?keys=heuchera&hardiness_zone=350&light_level=All&native_to_north_america=All&available_online=All

    I've always avoided shrubs that need a lot of trimming and so this tiny tot will be a fabulous addition to my garden. There are many spots where I need winter interest and also structure. These are perfect - here's a link on Proven Winners www.provenwinners.com/plants/thuja/tater-tot-arborvitae-thuja-occidentalis
