BTW i plan on using a 5 gal bucket and a toilet plunger to wash my clothes Yes one that i havent used on my clogged toilet so get that out of your mind

I add a little bit of vinegar in the rinse water which helps cut and release any soap still on your clothes. It’s also a good disinfectant.😊

As for personal hygiene, I have layers of preps but one thing I wanted to share are bathing cloths for the elderly or rehab patients to get baths in bed. You just need a tiny bit of water and after you lather up you can just wipe off. I like them better than baby wipes even though baby wipes don't require water UNTILL they dry out (and they do). It's good when water is scarce, and they have shampoo ones too. Men talk about snacks as comfort items but for most women, we want to be clean.

I purchased the Wonder wash 5 years ago, it was $95 with shipping to Canada at that time.
I take it camping every year, it's one of my favorite preps. i found after you add the clothes rotate it five, six times, spin it upside down, push in the drain button to release the pressure then continue washing. It does a much better job once you release the pressure.
    Absolutely love the wonder wash!

Evening JR. Years ago, after my grand aunt and grand uncle died, I received their "washing machine". It is an old early 1920's Maytag that they still used. Though the washer and ringer were electric, single motor, it could be switched and also be agitated and use the ringer by hand. This is my primary "off grid" clothes washing method, though I do have a washboard too.

Has anybody tried to wash their clothes while showering? We do this when using the campground’s facilities. Step in the stall fully clothed, soap up the clothes, rinse while still wearing them. Then take the wet stuff off..hang them on a hook...then wash yourself. Change into your dry clothes; hang the washed clothes to dry somewhere when you leave the showers.

When you popped a squat JR, I started to chuckle! No one is ever gonna do this, in our world of modern conveniences. People are so damn lazy that they would get sores from soiled clothes before they ACTUALLY did laundry. Back in the day we washed all our cloths by hand using a washboard and large galvanized tin tube which also double as our bath tub. Basic modern conveniences like electric stoves, dryers hot water heaters, electrical well pumps, air conditioning, refrigerators, TV, or a phone etc. were not very common in my early childhood. If you didn't grow, raise, hunt or fish, make or trade for what you needed, you did without. Preparing for the next day, week, month, or season was basically a way of life.
