I absolutely love this! I put it on my 2nd monitor and enjoy it all day. The glass pumpkins against the fire are beautiful - I have several of the same, that I enjoy collecting

Death, the Soul, Spirits, and Hell. What the bible really says:
What is the soul?
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Gen 2:7 *Notice he “became” a living soul, not received a living soul.
Dust of the earth + Breath of life = a living soul
Will humans have physical bodies in heaven? Will we be only spirit? Or will we have flesh, the ability to eat and drink, and to feel and touch? The Bible says yes:
-Philippians 3:21 - Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
-Mark 14:25 - “Assuredly, I say to you, I (Jesus) will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the Kingdom of God (with you)’”
-Isaiah 11 6:8 - The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den.
What is Death?
The bible declares death is a “sleep” 53 times. The KJV Bible uses the word “soul” 1600 times, but never once uses the term, “immortal soul.”
-Ezekiel 18:4 … the soul that sinneth, it shall die.
-1 Kings 2:10 - So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.
-Daniel 12:2 - And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
-Psalms 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
-Psalms 115:17 The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.
-Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
-Job 14:21 "His sons come to honour, and he knoweth it not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth it not of them.
-Job 14:12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
-John 11:23,24 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.
The bible clearly says that you will die and rest until the Judgment at the last day. There is no conscious existence in the afterlife. Until the very moment of the resurrection, it will be as though you are asleep.
What about spirits:
1 John 4:1 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Isaiah 8: 19-20 - And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God?
1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
Leviticus 20:6 - And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people.
Deuteronomy 18 9:11 - When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations.
There shall not be found among you [any one] that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, [or] that useth divination, [or] an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
So why do so many people pray to the spirits of dead loved ones, saints, and ancestors, when the Bible states that their souls are neither incorporeal nor conscious after death, and in fact warns strongly against doing so? Why do people seek wisdom from departed spirits, when the Bible warns that it is nothing but deceit?
God did not want his people to have anything to do with spiritualism or death worship like that given to the pagan god of death, Anubis. He even went a step further and declared that anyone who came into contact with a dead body or a grave was considered unclean and could not partake in temple worship.
Numbers 19:16 - And whosoever toucheth one that is slain with a sword in the open fields, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
So why must every cathedral in the world contain a relic (physical remains of a saint) as decreed by the 2nd Council of Nicaea in 787? Dead remains should have no place in the worship of the Lord, and sleeping saints should never be prayed to. The Bible says their part in the world is done - they cannot change their situation, or yours.
What is Hell?
Matthew 10:28 - “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”
Gehenna: Hell. Valley of Hinnom, South of Jerusalem, where refuse and dead animals were cast away and burnt. Greek Hades and Hebrew She’ol: Hell, grave, place of the dead, pit.
The Catholic church has this to say about hell:
“The smoke of their torment shall ascend up forever in the sight of the blessed...before their eyes...this display of divine character and glory will be in favor of the redeemed, and most entertaining, and give the highest pleasure to those who love God...Should the eternal torment and fires be extinguished, it would in a great measure...put an end to the happiness and glory of the blessed. Works of Samuel Hopkins pp. 457,58
Does this reflect the Character of God in the Bible?
Ezekiel 33:11 ...As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die?
Psalm 92:7 - When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever: (Does this say they will be tormented forever? No, they are destroyed “forever.” Forever = finality.)
Psalm 37:20 - But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the Lord shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
Obadiah 16 - ...they (the unsaved dead) shall be as though they had not been.
But what about the “unquenchable, eternal fire” we always hear about? Jerusalem was burned with unquenchable fire. Prophesied in Jer. 17:27, fulfilled Jer. 52:12-13. Sodom was burned with eternal fire: Jude 7:7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha…are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
Is Jerusalem still burning today? Is Sodom and Gomorrha? Is the fire forever, or only the consequences?
What about Satan? Will he be tormented in hell forever? The Bible says no.
Ezekiel 28:18 “...will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee...and never shalt thou be any more.”
And what happens after the Judgment is finally over, sin is eliminated, and the world is made anew?
Revelation 21:4 "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Please study your KJV Bible. Ellen White’s The Conflict of the Ages book set, Walter Veith’s “Total Onslaught” and "Genesis Conflict" video series, and Nader Mansour’s RUclips studies are all great resources to help you in your journey!
