It was a fun way to get out and enjoy nature. And, while searching above a path on a slope of one of the heavily wooded hills I was able to observe two deer that were less than 20 yards below me.
So they have deer in febced in areas and raise them or they brought the dheds with them..... No regular land has that many sheds on it. I have prolly found 10 in my life and I live in WV and go outside way more than most
First it was Bass tournaments, then walleye and other fish tournaments. Now shed hunting tournaments. I'm with you guys; if it's not a competition, what's the point?
Man gets me itching to go looking but still to much snow on the ground with another 20" of snow coming so who knows when I'll get out I remember 20 or so years ago you could walk the woods and fields around here until you're legs gave out and be lucky to find a couple small sheds now i go a small section of sheds and come out with 3-4 antlers with a couple of big ones to boot the only thing that has changed I'd people don't shoot the little ones any more so more buck make it to maturity and we have a much better buck doe ratio and it all started over 20 years ago when some buddy's and I decided weren't gonna shoot young bucks any more and people started seeing our results and more and more started passing the young on ones and now almost no one in this area shoots young bucks except youth and new hunters
The animals in the woods need those nutrients. Hardened antlers are high in minerals, mostly calcium (about 20 percent) and phosphorus (about 10 percent), in addition to a lot of trace minerals such as zinc, copper and manganese. Phosphorus, which is commonly deficient in many soils and plants throughout the US, is particularly critical. Have a heart. Healthy ecosystems breed healthier deer!! Besides the suffering of animals lacking those nutrients. Please rethink it. Begging y’all
That's actually not what they are for. However being at the top of the chain has its benefits. We do much more for conservation than you can imagine. Picking up sheds has zero negative effects on wildlife. None whatsoever!
I wish we had fields like that I be the winner every year come up here in Northeastern Pennsylvania where there's heavy Briars and heavy Briars and heavy Scrub oak you gotta crawl on your hands and knees to get them anybody could find sheds in open field even my daughter 6 years old could Find them
Love too see the kids getting out there and enjoying the outdoors!
Thanks for watching Timmy!
We agree on getting kids out in the outdoors & involved!
Boy yall are lucky we aren't buddies 😆 I love this. This is awesome 👌
Thanks for watching!
It sure can get pretty competitive!
Never heard of a shed tournament. Love the idea. Most importantly a deer doesn’t have to die. Thank you for sharing

It doesn't matter what kind of video you watch. There is always a hater. Nothing wrong with what these people are doing.
We will not be leaving antlers behind so squirrels can get minerals. They will be just fine!
This is the most staged thing ever. This is what I hate about the new popularity of shed hunting
On a more serious note, shed hunting? Really? I'd rather watch Snipe hunting. Now that'd be entertaining.
Shed hunting is pointless
You are light-years from the truth! Lol
Sheds is for other animals to chew or eat. That's not fair you guys are interfering with nature. Not good.
