Micael, you do stand out from the crowd. You understand nuance. I am a fellow Pianist and I always appreciate finding a truly natural pianist like you. My bet is Chopin and you would have been friends in real life. Cheers. Thomas
@@alexandervolkov89291 have you ever listen to Paderewski's performance in 1911? Wow, rubatissimo, today that would be a scandal, back in those days was a standard.
@@cosimoleone9110 absolument! Those were the days my friend. Pianists like Demarey can create a renaissance of this pianism. This performance to me has something, elegant and sexy to it. Absolutely adore it.
Yes indeed, that Chopin hated rubato is a myth, he hated bad interpretations with badly executed rubati. This waltz is special, I always play it different according to the mood. Here it is much faster than I would have liked it to be. But the salon character is there together with a touch of drama.
True master!
Du Chopin habité par la véritable beauté de l'art.
Grazie, Michiel.

Er is maar 1 manier om muziek te maken en dat is met het hart. Friedmann, Bauer, François, ganioli, horowitz, cziffra ... demarey
Dit compliment doet mijn hart sneller slaan! Dankjewel!
