I love that your ratings are realistic. I see so many people rating even books they hate a minimum of 3 stars. Or they seem to just love every single book. The way you rate makes me feel like I am not alone with picking up 1 star reads from time to time.
Wow thank you! The biggest thing I was nervous about regarding posting my thoughts online was that people would think I was too harsh. I think I’m a bit of a tough critic 😅 but I appreciate you seeing it as realistic
Your thoughts on Bunny are sooo valid and validating. I didn’t understand the hype and I still gave it 3 stars but the more I’ve thought about it, the less I like it 😂
I love the format of this video, where you really talk about books in depth, not just letting us watch how you decorate your spreads. Talking about which, you're really good at it, the spreads look fantastic, the bunny spread even made me want to read the book despite your review, only because of the aesthetic you created on those pages, which is unfair 😂 Instant follow, can't wait for more of your videos!
What you felt about the Starless Sea, I felt about the Night Circus. I hated that book through and through. It lacked everything except flowery writing. I went through it thinking I'd admire this book, I bought both it and Starless Sea and unhauled them both immediately after finishing The Night Circus 😂 it's actually one of these books that I just cannot understand the hype about, but I guess this is how tastes work. I really loved your spreads and your reviews though 💕💫
I'm reading the road as my next Cormac McCarthy book, I listen to audiobooks with my husband and these are his picks. We started with, no country for old men, and then read, blood meridian, last month. So I'll be reading the road at some point soon and now I'm really looking forward to it. Also your spreads are super cute and I love that you are using super tips.
I just watch your two videos back to back, they’re amazing ! I loved all of the spreads you did 😍 I’m currently trying to build up the courage to post my first video just like you so it’s really inspiring to find another RUclips beginner (tho you’re not a beginner in journaling yourself 😆) Wishing you the best ! 💕
Thank you so much! I definitely know what you mean about building up the courage to post 😅 I constantly worry that my spreads aren’t good enough or that no one will care. But from what I’ve seen so far and how I’ve viewed others, the journaling community is incredibly kind. If you ever start posting, let me know!
I loved your style of reading journaling. I also don’t care to match the spread to the book. It’s more fun that way. I also enjoyed how you talk about the books. I really enjoined reading Honey Butter Pig Bread in January; reading it feels like talking to 3 friends lol
This is probably not very helpful, but I use paper packs from either a dollar store or Michael’s. The one I used for January was from my local dollar store, so I don’t know what it would be called, but I usually just flip through scrapbook paper packs and find a sheet that I like
@guessimbeth The high school my oldest 2 children went to was a liberal arts academy. They both read Into the Wild as 10th graders. I always read along, so they had an adult they trusted to digest what they read. Your layouts are beautiful. 💜
I really love the way you talked about these books haha and your spreads are GORGEOUS! Beth gets a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Awe thank you so much ❤️😊

You have a very beautiful handwriting. It is a pleasure to look at with all the decoration you put on your review pages. 💜
Thank you so much 😊😊

Thank you! After reading it, I had the same reaction. I’m happy other people like it, but I don’t think I get it 😅

Haha fair enough 😅. Thank you though 😊
I hated the night circus too.
I love your spreads! I love seeing the process into putting them together even more. Thank you for sharing!

How exciting! I hope you enjoy it! And honestly I love supertips 😅 they’re so much cheaper than brush pens and there’s so many colours

@@guessimbeth i did it ! Finally ! Thanks for your kind words, it helped a lot 🥰

Thank you so much! And yes!!! That’s exactly how I’d describe that book. I’m glad someone else enjoyed this book too
i thought the lettering on your 2023 quotes and pages was printed... pop tf off. you're way better with brush pens than is fair :)
Awe thank you 😊
This is so gorgeous 🔥🔥🔥 Also now i have a few books im going to get into- you explained them so well and makes me wanna read them lol 😂♥️
Thank you so much! And I’m so happy! I hope you enjoy them!
@@guessimbeth I cant wait for the next one lol!! 🫶
Everything is so beautiful! ❤
Thank you so much 😊😊
This was a nice reading journal video, thabk you 😊. You give my hope with learning how to letter. It seems so unattainable 😅
Thank you so much! And YES! I’ve been trying for years and it still always looks weird to me 😅
OMG! neat handwriting 😍
Thank you 😊
Where do you get the background paper for your cover page? I love them so much

Beautiful! I think your lettering is perfect, I need to learn. Where did you learn the letter formation? Is there somewhere you used ? X
Thank you! It’s the font Warmesty. I just looked up pictures of the letters and tried to copy them
My daughter read The Road and hated it. It was a high school requirement.
A high school requirement??! I mean I suppose I get it, but still. That would be a tough one to get through

Your layouts are beautiful. 💜
Okay, that makes a bit more sense 😅 and thank you!
What pen are you using to write the log for the book?
I’m using Zebra Sarasa gel pens from their vintage colour pack
.5? Mine dont look as good but they are .35 lol @@guessimbeth
Yes, mine are 0.5
i disliked THE ROAD so much
Haha that’s so valid 😅 the father could be so frustrating at times
