RIP Cowboy. Thanks for your gift of acting.
Cowboy and his wife died only a few months ago in a car accident. They weren't wearing seatbelts. Such a long life, ended so suddenly and needlessly. RIP Cowboy and always wear your seatbelts people!
His eyes glistened when he mentioned Burt Reynolds.
He was remembering that purdy mouth
R.I.P. Herbert, you were my friend. Killed in a crash on 1/24/2024
He ad-libbed his part in deliverance and made it perfect.
The scene was almost entirely improvised. The script (which can be read online) was really quite bare. Well done to the actors involved
He couldn’t read .. Burt helped him out 😊
Rest in Peace, Squirrel Man and Cowgirl.
💔😔🙏
Wow I’m learning about this actor today, upon learning of his death in Western NC. I didn’t even know he lived here. His beloved squirrel and another pet also perished along with his girlfriend. This video shed light on his life , a well lived one too. Such an unfortunate accident to take him. RIP and God Bless.
Kudos to you guys for doing this clip. You made my day.
He seemed like such a sweet, soft spoken man. I loved when he showed off his little pet squirrel. I've noticed that the most chilling villains are so often played by the nicest people, and this seemed to certainly be true in Cowboy's case. Sadly, I read that he was killed in a car wreck a few days ago. RIP Cowboy...you were certainly one of a kind, both on screen and off.
Another example - Richard Kiel.
RIP Cowboy and thank you for giving us one of the scariest scenes to talk and joke about.
I was so sorry to see Burt debilitated like that. I'm glad Cowboy came and visited him.
It’s always the nice guys who play the most evil characters. 😇
Mountain men like this never die. They are always waiting for you at the mountain tops.
Waiting for you to come so he could make you squeal like a pig.
I remember being in Verizon Wireless in Waynesville (right near Maggie Valley) when I was a kid, and saw a hunched man with a squirrel crawling all over his back come in. I didn't know who it was at the time, I just remember thinking he looked like the archetypal hillbilly. It was the only time I ever saw Cowboy.
He seems like a really nice guy in true life.
He died yesterday here in Haywood county in a car wreck
That’s heartbreaking man .... nooooooooooo damn
This movie is scary as shit to a twelve year old , anyone.?
Outstanding! Bravo !
Probably the most despised villain in film history
Nurse Ratchet called, she wants her title back.
And the nicest guy offscreen.
That scene scared me so much I was afraid to go trout fishing on the Chattooga River for years afterward.
Great to see him with Burt, friendly kiss. Love it.
American Legend 🇺🇸 💪 🐿️
If you're on a river and hear banjos playing, paddle faster
That was nice he saw Burt before he passed away 🙏🏾
Squirrel is cool as hell
My hero!!
Antry
Read a hundred years ago squirrels were the number one pet in America. Fine ladies used a delicate chain for that leash. Five dollars in front of every Walgreens.
Always wondered what it'd look like.
Thanks, Cowboy.
And squirrels are also good to eat.😉
A very good actor. RIP Cowboy
The toothless man,…LOL!
RIP Cowboy
Seems like a cool dude. And he has more teeth now!
RIP, Legend.
He never had the makings of a varsity athlete lol glad he went to see Burt.miss burt and miss seeing Bruce Willis acting.
I wish I could get a Squirrel to do that !!!
Don’t say any thing just do it 🤣 hell that’s frightening
That famous line has been repeated perhaps a hundred times and ALWAYS wrong!
I always thought he said purdy mouth but everyone says I'm an old man who dont know shit. Ha. Well, they got one part right.
Cowboy never got his turn in that movie. That robocop guy scared him off before Angela Jolie's dad could do the 'praying'.
Great actor
Whats with the stringed squirrel loll
That's called a pet.
@@bassage13 If you say so 😂
It's a mountain thing no disrespect you wouldn't understand city folk that is
This might not be popular but to die in your mid 80's without illness and suffering might not be so bad.
RIP
2:36 This movie made me terrified of Southerners ever since
Rip & squirrel
Terrifying - she wasn't kidding! Poor Ned Beatty was in his 1st major film. Bill McKinney had to have been changed after playing that creepy ass rapist role
That squirel, straight from the star wars
Ned Beatty was NOT acting in this scene.
He was acting but he was actually scared s**tless of Bill McKinney.🙈🙉🙊
looks like mayorkis
I refuse to camp to this day.
😥😥😥😥😥
Glad they paid him enough to get his teeth fixed.
