Alamat always incorporates traditional costumes and lyrics in their songs.
I love it!
When it comes to unique concepts, Alamat is one of the best. It gives me goosebumps to see how Alamat highlights the fusion of folk and modern. In the MV, dancers performed one of the folk dances, which is the singkil. According to cultural history, this is a very distinctive traditional dance of the Maranao people of the southern Philippines. Originally, Singkil was performed as a ritual for festivals and ceremonial rites of passage by the Maranao prince and princess to define their courtship. As I watch the video, the content is connected to what Singkil means, how the dancers performed it well, and the materials and costumes they used. Overall, the concept is the best.
In this MV, we can learn that even if we live in the present, we don't forget to recognize our traditions and culture. I can say ALAMAT is great p-pop, and the way they promote Filipino culture in every song is remarkable!

ALAMAT really promotes the integration of Filipino tradition & culture in their music, choreo, even in their outfits. ❤️ it always amaze me how they integrate kulintang/traditional instrumental sounds in their songs and it is so bop!! No wonder the goosebumps hehe and that feeling of pride as a Filo!

I love this song so much because it has plenty of cultural references. The music incorporates indigenous sounds/instruments and you can hear it throughout the whole song. Parts of the dance also include steps & movements from inidigenous/native Filipino dances. The costumes are also inspired from indigenous patterns & textiles like the school uniform necktie.
I haved watched most of their live video performace they are intertaining their vocals and harmony amazed me the most.

I had the same feeling as Chase, when he was amazed at his brethren. Seeing P-Pop, hearing our language etc. I am a Filipina that grew up stateside. Alamat is my fave P-Pop group, because of how they incorporate R & B sounds with cultural accents etc. I love it!
