My problem as a casual player who consider himself as a good player. I feel I can contribute to any team I play on and im not saying im always the best player on the court far from it in certain aspects. I just get on with da homies and we hoop together every other night but nothing more than 2-3 hours. 1. The servers have way too much fluctuations and the ramifications are insane. It’s not like we don’t know our timings and things like that but any given game the latency and lag will ruin an entire night. 2. Rec match making is terrible. Every game is a blowout both ways because u either getting a team full of PROS and GOATS or you playing team full of blacks and browns. It’s rare to have an even match up. 3. The builder needs to have more freedom, the player builder is us making a bunch of role players. I am an advocate of superstar builds, it brings much more freedom to the game. The problem was 2k didn’t provide the necessary defensive tools for us to stop each other in years past. I would actually like to build players that would be a true 99 overall that would rival Lebron, Kobe, and MJ in the game’s base roster. Hell u can’t even make a 1 to 1 Steph Curry build, meaning if u tried to use the builder and make Steph Curry as he is in the roster, you wouldn’t be able to. 4. MyCareer doesn’t have any value anymore, there isn’t much VC given, you don’t get rewarded for playing it outside of badge grinding and little challenges. The story aspect isn’t there anymore (all they had to do was not force us to be soundcloud rappers on the side and let cutscenes be skippable). 5. The micromanaging of every thing is terrible. Why must I wait 4-5 weeks to have a built body shape, when it’s only a cosmetic. The badge system has grown on me but I would like for my badges to stay HOF once they were reached.
I disagree with 2 and 3, but you’re speaking facts about the other things!! Just because I disagree doesn’t mean my answer is right or that yours is right, I just don’t think having “superstar” builds is good for the game!! Servers and Mycareer definitely need an improvement!! I appreciate your opinion and thank you for breaking down your argument!!
The game is good but the players are trash..99%of the time I’m playing random rec w/no squad and majority of the time the game is being sold by players w/low I.Q or lack of experience .. then on top of all I have to suffer a lost because players who don’t understand the game….
This is literally the worst 2k other than 2k18, movement, dribbling, oversized city, clunky, slow gameplay, unresponsive button input. 2k has taken multiple steps back from past 2ks. What you are saying in this video is definitely correct, and i agree with it too, but the game is still bad.
I completely agree with you and almost every sentiment the problem I have with the community right now is that they are scared of change this 2K to me even more so then 2K20 you can play and be effective in so many different ways but people are so stuck on trying to play It like it's 2K16. If you want to be a Ram runner and dunk on people you can win if you want to do layouts and floaters you can win if you want to be a mid-range specialist off the dribble you can win if you want to shoot me a range out of the Post you can win if you want to be a Post score putting up hookshots you can win if you want to be a 3 point specialist in the picking row you can win if you want to be a defensive orientation you can win this is legitimately the most balanced out 2K I have seen and I have been playing since 2K17 in competitive program. This is not old 2Ks. They added so many dynamics to this game that peoole are scared to explore out of fear of not being meta. The meta changes.

I agree with you, really love 2k24. But this game does have it’s issues for me the issues are more with Random rec match making. It’s the hammer or nail concept way to often. I have been begging beluba to make sure in 25 they make a conservative to give a better experience for someone that doesn’t have teammates and wants to play with component players. The rewards are absolute garbage but I never play any 2k for that I just wanna hoop. But how many cars will 2k give us. Again this is one of my favorite 2k’s but those are my problems
This 2k started off good but overtime became the worse 2k I have ever played 1 nerfed paint defense 2 Why did 2k stop giving us trendsetter packs 3 Immovable enforcer don't mean anything This is not a good game Lastly the rewards in this game are fucking awful we have no real incentive to play
Ion really have a issue with 24 besides ppl quitting and being a crybaby and selling the game when they ain’t get the ball in 2 possessions I really play the same way I played in previous 2Ks simple buckets and I can still lock shit up with bare minimum defensive stats 😂 it’s definitely just a b tier 2k
