A rather different but rather interesting one George 👍. Looks like the first million of the road fund went on the car park!🙄🤦♂. Always fancied flying a drone over our floods to see what it’s alike from above.
Beautiful drone footage, the black cat works are a lot clearer from the air. Regarding East West Rail, the statutory consultation and public inquiry will take at least a year to 18 months by which time there might be a another government, so who knows. It is the PM's pet project so more likely to be cancelled by a government of a different political persuasion looking to make savings. Would love to see more drone footage of the equipment and road works as they progress. Keep up the great work!
Do you remember around 20 years ago when a lorry crashed through that northbound bridge on the A1 and went into the river, I think it landed on a moored boat too! Very interesting to see your drone shots, please do more. 😃😃
Great video, excellent footage with the drone . The flooding looks bad still .Here in Ireland alot of farm land is still full of flood water. Well done George 👍 🔧 🚜
Good video George 👍 we had a fair bit of flooding up here 🏴 but by looks of things youve had it a lot worse 🙄😕 hopefully things will start to dry up a bit and let you get on with slurry an other spring work as time is marching on 💪👍
Hi George just watched this video on a frosty Sunday morning brilliant video that is so very wet ground your on ATM thanks for sharing very interesting to see the area around you must say back ground music is brilliant to making your videos relaxed good to see Well done take care 👍👍
George, that was wonderful!!! The floods are fairly bad there, but nothing compared to Lincolnshire (see Wardys Waffle's). Thankfully I live in West Berks, on top of a hill. So if this place ever floods, the whole of the country will be under several metres of water! Loved hearing your commentary, watching the view unwind beneath you. Lovely, thanks for that . Good luck in whatever you have planned.
Very interesting video. Would like to see further updates on the Black Cat. Johnathan Tracey did similar videos over the A14 when it was upgraded a few years ago.
Lol, Ted would definitely sort out the drone George if he got half a chance 😂 very good drone work and that big roadworks is certainly going to cause a bit of hassle for you, look forward to the next drone video george 👍
Good Evening George, That was one of the best shots I have seen from a drone, On the black cat roundabout coming from Bedford on the left was there a garage may be shell or bp I am not to sure but I do know there was one as on your drone it have gone? I used to go to Bedford quite a dit years ago on the industrial estate a place that sold welding equipment called Kempe I think that’s how it is spelt. Anyway George great video.⛴️⛴️⭐️👍👌
Well that was were I hit a women driver up the rear we stoped at the roundabout a truck was then coming up to the roundabout from the London exit I keep going thinking she would do the same before the truck got to us well as you can guess I went she didn’t so we became one, lol.
Check your drone battery for recalls. Some of those DJI’s had issues where the battery would stop discharging mid flight and make them drop out of the sky. It freaking out when you’re at full speed and maybe into a headwind might be a symptom of that.
re bonjour George merci pour cette belle vidéo , nous ici dans le pas de calais c est pareil que vous 4 inondations , bon courage a toi pour la suite : ps bonjour aussi a Liz 😍👍👍👍
That was absolutely amazing George, what an insight into the flooding problems you are experiencing!! It must surely be having an unbelievable impact on your farming duties? Quite frightening I would have thought. Are you loosing any land to the railway or road alterations?
It's very interesting to see how the flooding has hit the countryside in your part of the world. Just wait for another 6 weeks or so, and then the hose pipe bans will be announced because a water shortage is coming this summer is predicted.
Another great video George. This flooding is terrible. We get a couple of dry days if we are lucky then back comes the rain. Will there be a harvest this year? Will there be a time dry enough to sow any seeds? Oh and I'm still enjoying your views around the black cat. All the best mate. regards Ken
Great video George, all the years I've gone up the A1 past your farm and the boat yard, has Saunders yard now gone from the round about ?. Good stuff mate,
Was that the Battersea Power station 🤔?.. i thought i seen a flying pig..but anyway, sorry to hear about the devastating flooding...Very beautiful terrain and scenery otherwise... would like to come visit the U.K. some day...👍👊🇺🇸🇬🇧
so the new roads going across and linking back onto the a428 when done then ???? so the obvious point to join is the roundabout where the shell garage and maccy d’s is just before cambourne i guess ???? ,as thats all ready dual carriageway away from there
Hey George. you mentioned Bedford in this video. is it close to you? have you heard about Bedfordia farm equipment? we have an imported Johndeere 8650 with a bedfordia sticker on it. im just curious about it's history in England. since it's now belonging in Sweden. I tried contacting their new company/name, but got no response. thanks for any input! (Rushdon Road, Milton Ernest)
Yes Bedford is just a few miles away, I used to work for Bedfordia back in the day! I filmed there 9630 a few years back. Now I remember when I was there they had an 8850, an 8440 and I thought it was an 8640, but it could have been an 8650. So whether it's that one that was used on the farm or a different one they supplied as a dealer. I do remember that the 8650/40 was sent off to Kinze in the states for a repower and overhaul when I was there. It returned looking brand new. Is there any indication that yours has been repowered?
@@GeorgeSaunders oh wow thanks so much for the info. Thats awesome. Ours still has the johndeere engine. not the original one anymore. My dad replaced it here in sweden. the previous owner (in sweden) .had ran it hot multiple times and cooked the engine because the gauge is not working properly. Its a 1985 model. dual michelin 20.8r38 it had on it. At some point in it’s life they bounced the front axle against the stops. Cracking the frame infront of the engine. they welded it up and then added another 6mm plate on the outside along the engine. is there any way bedfordia might still have documentation do you think? That’s why I tried contacting them. Again thanks alot. the frame incident may have also broken the original engine.
i know this is a stupid question but do you get some kind of compensation for water damage on fields? like we know its the clowncills fault for building/allowing building on flood planes, or does it come under insurance...do they cover natural occurring damage, again even though its not natural its kinda man made....
There are also farmers here in Slovakia who have 30 to 40 percent of their acreage under water. It's OK on the farm where I work. But this spring is really wet. Do you have a lot of damage George?
Just seems to have been wet everywhere, we'll have to see how the grass recovers from being underwater for so long, it doesn't look great at the moment 👍
Devastating the amount of damage the water can just do,it looks to be chaos in the next couple of years ahead.great drone shots there !
Cheers Luke 👍

Yeah all the tarmac mate😂👌

13:03 great drone videos show the amount of water still around after the flooding and how much swell is still in the river
Great stuff George and Ted, a lot of water there, hope its dropped by now for Ye👍🙏🙂
Do you remember around 20 years ago when a lorry crashed through that northbound bridge on the A1 and went into the river, I think it landed on a moored boat too!
Very interesting to see your drone shots, please do more. 😃😃
I don't remember one crashing through and into the river, although fairly regularly one will go over on the bends 👍
just realized I used to live literally just round the corner from your location in Blunham back in the 70s
Great video, excellent footage with the drone . The flooding looks bad still .Here in Ireland alot of farm land is still full of flood water. Well done George 👍 🔧 🚜
Cheers buh👍
Great video George. Nice music in the background. Not too loud.
Excellent video George - all very interesting!
Good video George 👍 we had a fair bit of flooding up here 🏴 but by looks of things youve had it a lot worse 🙄😕 hopefully things will start to dry up a bit and let you get on with slurry an other spring work as time is marching on 💪👍

What a class video George. Looking forward to the next one you do. That drone is a serious peice of kit... in the right hands of course.
Cheers Vincent it hasn't been parked in any trees yet👌
I showed the wife your drone footage to which she replied your not getting one. I said George hasn't told us what sort it is so I couldn't anyway....😩
Lovely video thanks for sharing 👍 all the best from Henry Central UK 🇬🇧
Great video George @ drone footage they are a lot of water damage there George 👍👍👍

Very interesting video. Would like to see further updates on the Black Cat. Johnathan Tracey did similar videos over the A14 when it was upgraded a few years ago.
Cheers Robert, it'll be interesting to see the progress over the years 👍
Great video, some great drone shots. Really makes you appreciate the amount of water that is around.
Hi George, great show 👍

Those roadworks aren’t for east west rail, it’s for a new dual carriageway for the A421 from the black cat roundabout to caxton gibbet
Thanks George excellent vid sir.... Take care....
Cheers Kev 👍
Very interesting video thanks george
Lol, Ted would definitely sort out the drone George if he got half a chance 😂 very good drone work and that big roadworks is certainly going to cause a bit of hassle for you, look forward to the next drone video george 👍

Great Video George & Ted 🐶❤️❤️

Cheers Trevor 👍 lost a couple of acres to the road, have to see what happens with the railway 👍
great drone work George 😜😜😜😜😜😜😜
Great Vid George
Top man!!Excellent!!👍👍👍👍

Yeah no doubt in a few months time we'll be praying for rain!😂

excellent !

Cheers Ken, I'm sure it'll stop raining and dry up at some point, but then I'm sure we'll have a drought 😂
Hi Mate, I thought about building an Ark if only to keep my feet dry, all the best @@GeorgeSaunders
Great video George, all the years I've gone up the A1 past your farm and the boat yard, has Saunders yard now gone from the round about ?. Good stuff mate,
Yes that's gone mate👍
Was that the Battersea Power station 🤔?.. i thought i seen a flying pig..but anyway, sorry to hear about the devastating flooding...Very beautiful terrain and scenery otherwise... would like to come visit the U.K. some day...👍👊🇺🇸🇬🇧
It's Little Barford power station 👍
The old Drone, the old floods, the old Black Cat, the old Diggers and all in the first minute! Have you got anything new there George?
Ol'
so the new roads going across and linking back onto the a428 when done then ???? so the obvious point to join is the roundabout where the shell garage and maccy d’s is just before cambourne i guess ???? ,as thats all ready dual carriageway away from there
That's it, so it'll replace that stretch of single carriageway 👍
@@GeorgeSaunders prob make the a1 quieter as well then, is always a pain between the black cat and the slip road off ,its short but always nuts.
Saving money by not dredging our rivers just makes more problems a lot of people

I just had to say the coincidence that you used to work there is just mind blowing i Actually can barely believe it.
Nice one Ted😂

It's not a stupid question at all, there is no compensation for water damage to fields and you can't insure against it either 👍
Hallo george in Germany the same fields and greenland full of water and no new seed. It came a catastrophe
Beautiful footage, George shame about the wetlands.
Wow George that flooding is awful! I imagine it's beautiful there when the river is in the banks tho!
Interesting video, but the background music made me feel like I was in a crematorium waiting for the coffin to arrive!
I spent quite a long time choosing that music 😂

Should maybe think about a fishery as a side hustle mate
Looking that way 😂
If it can move freight I can understand railway.
I'm not sure if it's for freight as well mate👍

Great video it does make me laugh they spend millions on flood defences and won’t dredge rivers and canals which would help farmers with drainage.
