- This video covers how I setup, calibrate, and use the veneer sanding station portion of a Kündig Uniq edge sander. The belts I like to use in this sander are Uneeda Ekamant.

Steve, I have been drooling over that edge sander since the first time I saw you use it!!! I truly appreciate your videos. Please make more of them.
Thank you Derek. I plan on making more of them and just finished editing one of them. Steve
What a timely video from someone I trust completely when it comes to machinery. Just had a used Uniq-S dropped off today (without a manual) so your timing is impeccable Steve.
Thank you. Congratulations - It is awesome to find a used Kündig. I am aware of 4 other viewers who have either the Uniq or Uniq-S machines. Welcome to the club. Steve
@@extremewoodworker thanks Steve. We've got a used Kundig Duplex widebelt in here too. Very happy with that also. Not sure I'll ever get to buy one new though!
Glad you are back. Always learning from you
Thank you. Steve
Steve! You are on a roll! I have only had my Uniq for a few months. Thank you for the recommendation! I find this machine to be one of the highest quality machine that I own and a pleasure to use. I agree about which side I have used the most is also the veneer sanding side. Much more versatile than you would think.
Thanks PK. I look forward to a video on your new slider when it arrives. Steve
Appreciate you sharing. What a cool machine!
Thank you. Steve
Felder has their version of this sander now. I used to use a bevelled disc sander on the table saw along with the fence and got amazing accuracy but the disc got too hot and the paper wore too fast. I would think it could be easy to set a fence up on the Kundig and get perfect repeatable results. Thanks for all the valuable info.
Thank you. I have found disc sanders to be effective with wood typically run way too fast and load up paper quickly especially on a tablesaw which is running around 3600 rpm. I compared the Felder and Kündig at the 2010 IWF. I liked the price of the Felder better but ultimately, went with the Kündig for the larger belt size, tilting head as opposed to tilting tables, and controls of belt height/oscillation. Steve
