Patrick Almasy You could try 70mm, but I think that 66mm is enough and perfect, a bit monster truck-y look but you get used quickly and the ride is more confortable. The hardness is up to you, I ride 80 or 83A, soft but I can slide them also =P

pls halp. I'm a super amateur rider. I have a nickel and when going downhill it goes too fast to the point where the nickel board starts shaking side to side (not from front wheel to back wheel but left to right) and I can't be stable so I have to stop or else fall. Any tips for this?
Tighten your trucks with a skate tool, or a wrench.
+Cindy Y Sounds like you got speed wobbles. Bend your knees and dont be scared. It's eitehr that or you gotta tighten your trucks a bit like the person below above said.
Just get your balance first you got to ride more. I go 40-50mph and my trucks are only tightened to 180* from bushing contact. Just ride more
Ignore the other advice, it's not how tight the trucks are its weight distribution. If you notice wobbles shift your weight to the front of the skateboard and you should be fine.

Do you feel that it is hard to ride a penny board in cities and sidewalks because of cracks in the ground? Do you ever feel like you will fall off the board because of it? And are these stock bushings too?
+Draztik I have a nickel board and it goes over side walk, pavement cracks with ease. I've never fallen off my board because of a crack. I did fell once but that was due to speed wobbles.

Colin Dinning I know it's quite a bit later to reply but, if you want to have something portable that you can put in your bag, get a 22", but it is harder to ride. If you have bigger feet and don't care about size get the 27". I have both and I actually can't decide which one i prefer but all my friends have 22" so i usually skate that :)

Yes, but make sure it is the official Penny brand and that the trucks are stiff enough because if they are even a little too lose you are gonna speed wobble into your death

speed wobbles have nothing to do with loose trucks. tight trucks will buck you off, no give to correct. youtube "speed wobbles explained". Some people run no upper bushing. Explain how he stays on at speed, you wobble.... Bend your knees point your toes more forward and keep some weight on those front trucks.? Learn to stop before you go fast enough for speed wobbles.

TxiskeCheesecake Amazing riding. Did you have to add risers? Awhile back I put some Mini Hawgs 63mm on my Penny but my foot always bites the back wheels. I reverted to stock. I know it's probably my footing but that's why I thought I'd ask.
Paul Anthony De Nieva thanks Paul! I don´t use risers, I don´t have that problem you comment, you could try with them but maybe it's too high from the floor...different felling for sure. The clue is to ride comfortable =)

Thanks! It's a DIY glove, a leather glove with some hard plastic attached with velcro. And that road is "almost" without traffic 😁
