Did you need to get planning permission for the stock pond also? Great idea in terms of longevity. Definitely save money in the long run. If you can get the licence, put a handful of small catfish in, your nuisance fish issue will soon go away. If they get to big, sell them. Catfisheries will pay serious money for a good size cat down the line.
Didn’t need planning as it’s classed as part of my business within the fishery. I’m looking into further predictors for the lake but I net every year anyway so it’s not too much of an issue.

Yes I’ll be selling a few for sure as it’s a good side business and fisheries needing fish. I wanted to film it but I had no idea of how it was gonna turn out for time and how well it was going to go. If I build another I’ll be sure to film it.

We have a water called Wellington basins in Wellington somerset that is a free water not ran by anyone so fish stock is vital, lots of kids etc learn to fish there but it’s not funded just ran by an organisation of older people who do hedge trimming etc :)
