It is tricky to explain here.. Bobbin winder is on right side of the machine, below the hand wheel. The winder is that little metal stick which is rotating when motor is running. You click the bobbin on the winder, set the thread on the bobbin and open the "clutch" of needle movement, the clutch is a smaller wheel on the handwheel. And .. then step on the pedal.. That's it. ;-D
