Your showing how you needed to adjust the pattern based on the muslin was SO important in showing why a muslin is important, especially when the pattern is suppose to be fitted.
You are so inspiring! I appreciate your guidance on making a bagged jacket! The zipper application is excellent and I'm excited to try it. Most of all, I love how you take the time to hand baste, making your garment come together so perfectly. That's something I need to incorporate into my sewing. Thank You!
Love, love, love this jacket. Your work is beautiful. You did a fabulous job you really should be proud of your work. Thanks for all your tips and amazing videos.
You’re amazing! I would normally be intimidated by this pattern (I’ve never done a lined jacket before), but your hand holding and tips really makes me think I can do this! I’m going to buy this with your affiliate link. Thank you for always encouraging and helping us self taught sewers to be bold and fearless!
Beautiful! I love the use of buttons. Sometimes limits make us more creative. I’m going to use metal buttons when I make this one. Thank you for the excellent video❤
Beautiful colour! I enjoyed sewing this too, there is a lot to it but so worth it. A proud make. I used a weatherproof patterned outdoor fabric. Awesome drafting xxx
It's gorgeous Karina. Such a lot of work and I'm in a warm climate so not sure I'd get much wear out of it, but it looks like a great pattern. Fab tutorial as usual - well done!
I too find it difficult to get button snaps ( I live in Europe) . I would like to get a heavy duty manual snap fastener one day . Lovely sewn jacket, the length, the buttons ,those pockets plus the lining is lovely ❤.
Marking the pockets and casing on the muslin is such a good idea. Taking in the princess seam a bit is something I would probably need too. Thank you for showing the process of fitting. I will need to look up how to make the narrow shoulder adjustment and grade out for the hips. I was going to just skip this one because my shape doesn’t fit the ItS shaper but I really like the style details.
I’ve had the Anorak pattern since it came out, which is very similar. I need to get busy after seeing this. Looks beautiful! I love sewing details and gravitate towards jackets myself. I have more jackets at 70 than I’ve had my whole life!
💗 Beautiful jacket! Thanks for the grading tips and the Patreon video. I’ll be following it after I get all my fabrics and notions together. I think this will be the perfect jacket for me! Your purple version is lovely. Might copy you-with a twist. 😊
Another excellent video and I love your jacket! It’s been years since I sewed a jacket so I’ll review this video again in our late summer to sew one for the Australian winter. I like that this jacket can be sewn from lighter fabric too. Thicker fabrics can be too hot here in the subtropics. Cheers Rosanne 😊
Totally beautiful jacket. When you line the sleeves with cotton do you find it hard to put on as the fabric is not slippery or does the larger sleeve opening make it work OK?
I apologise but I never give names of interfacing. I live in Brazil and purchase generic interfacing, no brand, no name. All I can say is that tailors use it and it’s light weight. The stretchy type is easily found.
Your video offered so much information about all the fabrics available to build the perfect jacket. Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!

It’s never a waste of time for me :)
Great substitute for snaps. Lining is the bomb! Super sewing, as always.😍
You made this look so makeable for all of us. TY - It's beautiful.
I love sewing jackets too. This one is so beautiful especially in that color, purple is fantastic. Appreciate all the tips and tricks

As you see, it’s not as complex as you think. Just a lot of straight seams :)

I love it! I prefer lined jackets, and making the lining from a fun print is like having a happy secret on the inside. Thanks, Karina!

It’s warm here too but when it gets “cooler” it’ll be perfect in linen and cotton, both layers light.
Beautiful jacket Karina!!
Thank you so much 😀

I love purple and green too. Fabulous job. I wonder if I can do this with some narrow twill that I have.
Thanks! I put about 30 -60 seconds into styling and the green bag called me that day 😄
That jacket is gorgeous and your styling is fantastic!

I’ll always make mine in lighter fabrics. I want to wear them and it’s never too cold :)
Totally beautiful jacket. When you line the sleeves with cotton do you find it hard to put on as the fabric is not slippery or does the larger sleeve opening make it work OK?
It’s a loose sleeve. There’s no issue with this one :)
Love your work wish I can take classes with you, what is the name of the interfacing you used on your jacket??😊
