Thank you so much for this work. ASL helps me access emotions blunted by trauma and PTSD related amnesia. So glad my mother introduced me to the deaf culture, it helps save my sanity. And you, like her, are a wonderful teacher.
Thank you so much for posting this. I’m taking ASL 1 right now and I have a quiz on unit 3. I didn’t understand it very well, but this was such a huge help. Thank you again
Thank you for posting and thank you for everyone watching. As ASL isnt part of any curriculum and it kills me how stoked the deaf are when they know Im at least level 2. Lets all connect and communicate🤟
You are my favorite. I am taking my first ASL class finally at 50. I wish ai had taken it when I was younger and a quick learner. I am glad I am finally doing it though.... with your help!
Thank you for uploading! It had been a while since I practiced ASL and I find your lessons to be very helpful! I hope you continue to make these videos in the future.
Thank you! By far the best! First off you face the camera (and turn sideways if need be) and you give variations of the word and go slow enough for a beginner to follow. I get confused a little with grammar and syntax but hopefully that will come in time.
Thank you for posting these! As a fellow ASL teacher who uses Master ASL! for instruction, I am unable to provide all my students with the DVD that accompanies the textbook, so this is a great help! I was going to do my own, but this is far better than what I would be able to come up with!
Cindy Hernandez Thanks. Yep, that's the plan. I hope to finish all the units. :) Coming up would be Unit 4, and hopefully 5 before Thanksgiving. See see.
Hi I absolutely love your videos. My son is autistic and my daughter is hard of hearing so my family is learning ASL to better all of our lives at home and hopefully all around us. I'm struggling with where to start its all a little overwhelming right now. Can you please tell me which of your videos is a good place to start and where to head from there. Ive learned a great deal from you already I have to say thank you so much for doing these videos it has helped me learn so much. Keep up the great work. Katrina
Katrina Bowman apps like Marlee signs and Memrise are a great place to start for vocabulary building. Videos like these are also great but I'd say they're probably going to be more helpful for review. Websites like handspeak and signing savvy are nice if you need to look up a sign that you don't know and ASL.ms is a great website to practice reading fingerspelling which is one of the hardest things about Sign language for hearing people. As for learning about grammar structure and tips and tricks to help I'd look into classes being offered if I were you, they're priceless when it comes to learning ASL. If you can't spend the money on a college level class you can check in with the Deaf community in your area to see if maybe one of their churches or community centers offers them for free. Best of luck learning!
These are so great, thank you so much. If it's not too much trouble, do you think you could post the links for the next lessons in the summary for those of us on phones?

Thank you for these videos! My grandson hears but doesn't speak. I have a feeling he will be needing American Sign Language. These are very helpful!

Thank you for these videos! Especially the unit reviews.

my only complaint is sometimes I can not understand the picture. Could you put the picture and the word for the sign? thanks!
I was so happy when I found out that some of the pictures on the chalkboard were animated XD
I really love your videos PLEASE continue to do them! :)

+CHS ASL Is there any ETA on units 4 5 and 6? I don't want to rush you it's just so much easier to learn from these than the book.
I can't wait until the end of trimester 2. Then maybe I won't need to worry about watching 1 through 3 over and over and over and over and over again.
Awesome, easy to learn content ❤️
You deserve so many more subscribers.. your awesome
I absolutely love your Unit Review videos!! Thank you!! Are there more videos after the Unit 3, I can't seem to find them

No sé dónde vive usted, pero en Perú, es casi idéntico. O sea el español con el ASL. ¡Bastante útil! Buena suerte.

Love these! Cannot get enough. Can you do a video about makeup signs? Might sound girly but it's a topic I would like to sign about to my friends
Got lost after unit 2, the bridge to unit 3 is too huge for me. Thank you for your help.
