I used to collect from power line trimming, but the law has gotten hard on that. The main reason I do not repeat buy is short cords. A seller will dump what he calls 6 face cord and when stacked it's under 5 or just over 5 face cord. I'm over 70 at this point but when I was young, I stacked a face cord and then threw it in a pile and I would stack a full cord and throw it in a pile. Stack them and throw it on the truck. And then I would throw it on any different truck I would get. The saddest part is any time I stacked bought wood and measured and remeasured and was short and called the seller, could not find them. I was told "I brought you what you ordered." I'm at the point of when the wood is dumped I follow the seller to their home or place of business so I know where to apply pressure. Such is business in America. S.B. Lansing Michigan

One of the things I hear about is consistency in length. So many people remark about my firewood actually being 16inches and not 20 or 12.

Yes, size consistency is definitely going to make the list.

.lol biggest annoyance ever....firewood that's 1" too long to fit in your firebox when you were meant to get wood that was 3" shorter than your firebox
