  • In today's video, Steve takes you for a tour of the KOA. He shows you the putting green area, the water feature and some of the other areas available to use or hang out in at the KOA where we are stationary for a while. In truth, we aren't doing much exciting currently since Courtney is working so nothing more exciting then walking the KOA ;)

    I like watching this type of videos to get ideas on which parks to visit or stay away from.

    Since you are not moving around how about some videos of cooking in the rv? I believe that cooking is different when full timing vs weekend when you can precook or pre-prep almost everything. We are the part time kind but looking to spend 3 months on the road soon.

    KOAs can run the grommet form minimal accommodations to full blown destinations locations. That one seem to lean toward the resort side. Love the sites with "doggie" areas but most KOAs charge extra if you have pets. We stay at some but all the extra fees can be a deterrent. I think this one is worth it though. I liked the everyday walk around.

      Thanks Roy! This one doesn't charge extra just for the dogs...but those particular campsites are extra. They also have sites with built-in gas fire pits in these large stucco structures. Also, extra money. :)

    You didn't mention the cool dog park near the entrance. Great when there are no other dogs in it. ;-) Not much to do in Tucson? What about my four favorite places: the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, the Botanical Gardens, Mission San Xavier del Bac, and Saguaro National Park?

      Hey Jim! Those are great places, though we've been to them all. Maybe we need to experience them again and make videos out of 'em! :)

      @AStreaminLife  6 лет назад +1

      We don't. This used to be my motorcycle, but I sold it to my in-laws. Temporarily riding it while we are stationary for a while, but it won't be coming with us.

    Hi Steve! Ok, I know this is not as exciting as traveling videos, but I found it very interesting... Daily life at the KOA.. also gave me a better feel for that KOA (and others?) as I rarely stay in them, but am now planning a trip south where there are a couple of KOA possibilities en route. So thanks for that “daily life” insight! Will try out a couple of KOA’s now..

    I gather you are NOT a golfer? too bad with all the putting greens around the area, plus some nice golf courses in the area I would guess as well..

      Nope not a golfer but there is a lot here! We pay $775 a month for a back-in here during high season (winter). Expensive but the location is perfect for us!

    When is this RV park peak season? Some of the long-term parks/sites we've stayed at have storage sheds.
    You guys should head down to Padre Island National Seashore, the bird photography is just awesome at this time of year.

    Your audio has a 60 cycle hum on it today. Bad mic connection? Seems to be gone at 3:30

    • @AStreaminLife
      @AStreaminLife  6 лет назад +1

      Yup, that was actually the power lines that I was walking underneath. Mic interference, unfortunately.

      Wow those are strong to swamp the mic. Well at least you know what the problem was. Nice video. Nice camp.
