After finishing season 2 I had to go and read the manga, and is sooooo good, the art, fights, the story and especially the character development such as garou.
If you read the manga is worth it to close the garou and monster association arc until the next season comes out which we don’t know about yet.
Unfortunately his development was undone in chapter 213...
I also read the manga in anticipation for season 3 while not being a manga reader. I strongly recommend it. It is epic.
Goosebumps! Saitama's punch is always iconic at the end no matter even if the season hasn't delivered the same amount of quality as the season1. One punch man keeps releasing date for when 3rd season is gonna happen but then they keep changing it.
Oh and also idk if it’s true but for one of the release dates they also said that they’ll not only release season 3 but maybe 4 and 5 with it too. Don’t quite me on that tho it’s what I seen and heard idk how true that is at this point.
There are still six more OVA bonus episodes available.

I like your reaction about this episode and season.
Although, this is actually a good method to involve more people to read manga and the original webcomic.
They have the same big events, but some plot details, names, characters may differ.
And well, here we are waiting for S3 which was announced more than a year ago.
But the thing is: The MA Arc is too big. If there will be 12 Eps, there's no way this ends in S3. So we may wait another 3-5 years for S4. Man I'm gonna be very old when the last season of OPM will be released. Because Manga and Webcomic are still going.
I hope the new Studio won't skip this much scenes like they did in S2, because it will burn in our hearts.

There are only two anime that I couldn't wait for the next season to come out so I went and read the manga - One Punch Man is one of them and it was well worth it.

honestly though I used to hate superheroes like spider-man and batman back in primary school because ironically despite Peter Parker being bullied and a nerd the kind of kids in primary school that like Spider-man and Batman do so because they think it's cool and are often the more aggressive kids and bullies and I didn't want to like what they liked.
Only once I actually knew the actual stories of the characters in late primary school and high school did I start liking them.
So Garo's backstory is pretty darn realistic
