My bespoke cowboy boots by famous bootmaker Lee Miller at Texas Traditions are almost complete! We went to Austin, Texas, to film with Lee as he finished making the boots. In the first episode Lee walked me through all of the design, it was time to start work on completing the boots.
The next stage of production is to complete the toe box. This is arguably the most important stage of construction. As Lee explains, this is the first thing anyone see, so it needs to be perfect. So sit back and enjoy, as Lee walks me through the entire process of constructing the perfect Cowboy boot toe box.

Do you think Lee's heart rate ever gets over 50?. Such a laid back guy, sounds like he's shooting the breeze over a cup of coffee while demonstrating that he's one of the absolute best at what he does.

Kirby, the work you have done documenting how these masters of their trade go about creating their works of art is nothing short of amazing. I doubt people understand the documentary significance of what you are doing but for later generations these videos will be a treasure.

The labor, skill and love of the craft that goes into his boots are likely unrivaled.

We have sunshine boys!!! Pretty sure I felt like Kirby waiting for the completion on these boots. Hands down Lee is the best bookmaker you're going to find. Congrats Kirby and thank you for stepping into the boot world. You (as always) do it right!

This is such a great series. It's also great to see how a cowboy boot is made, as opposed to the well worn road of a black Oxford construction. Thanks KMA!

Love the way Lee Miller dissects, adapts and improves his methods. He's the Bob Ross of boot making.

  • @CSCrimson

I like how this guy doesnt brag about how his technique is the best. He says thats the way he does it. What a true craftsman and a laid back dude.

Lee Miller is an amazing bootmaker and a a great guy.... His wife Carrlyn, she's undeniably a big part of their success too... and Kirby, you''ll never look at cowboy boots the same way, from now...
