After 30 decades or so, I am jumping back into the hobby. I have a sig kadet senior arf on the way, and i am going all electric ( i was a nitro guy back int day cause that's all there was). First, Shawn, thank you. I have really enjoy watching and learning. My question is most definitely a noob question from an old man. My brand new avain 5055 came with 4 short screws, and 4 longer screws. Does the front or the back pf the motor take the longer screws, etc. 4 for the bolted prop adaptor, and 4 for the mount. Again thank you.
Hope you see this. I am in community college learning to be an Aerospace technician. In my advance composites class my team has been assigned to design and build a Predator Style Drone. we have a good bit of design work done although size may change depending on our machining capacity when it comes to our tools. as of now the plan is for the entire body and wings to be made out of carbon fiber the body being about 2ft in length with a 5inch diameter. the wings span will be about 4ft making each wing 2ft length. not sure what what the weight will be when we are done but despite that what motor/motor mount/prop adaptor would you suggest? the motor and prop would be in the back of the craft if you need any more dimensions like stabilizers and such i can provide.
wow that is awesome you are building that. it would be a guessing game at this point you need your final weight aprox then you can motor prop esc shop . look at the spektrum brushless motor chart that will get you most of the info you will need
Great ! Could you try to learn how to make On-Screen Titles ? Like the animation, it would definitely make your video more professional-looking and polished ! Thanks, Griffin (A.K.A. Stephen Speilburg 😀)
Could you please illustrate how to actually mount the motor to the mount and then to the plane with ESC placement ideas. Thank you.
that is a broad question with many different options
good stuff bud
Appreciate it

Interesting. More great information, Sean.
More to come!
Well I feel a bit silly: i somehow thought the prop adapter bolts were for securing the X-mount to the firewall
More good stuff, Sean. 👍🏻
Thanks again!

Helpful! Thanks. Subscribed.
That is the WHOLE REASON I'm doing this. I'm glad it helped
Eflite extra 300 motor mount - back plate, and prop adapter is same as Arrows edge 540. Say thank you, don't ask how I know
