When I think of Cali riding this is definately the types of trails I have in mind....flowing grass hills. BTW is that the sketchy jump/drop at 12:00 that Alex ended up hitting while riding with Brian?
Flowing on some singletrack and that view, what a fun combination.
I believe Singletrack Sampler Alex did that trail. It looks super fun
Yes, the Whale Tail jump looks familiar. I recall the Alex studied and the jumped it several times.

Crazy how fast the trail became overgrown. I road there two months ago and it was not overgrown at all.
Winter and spring is the best time to ride there.

I haven't seen that much grass since 4/20. what are your thoughts on the trail building there? generally my takeaway from multiple people's visit to Exchequer, the trails are so narrow and it looks like very few berms in sight! do they do that purposely to keep difficulty up? hm, I wish I could better articulate my question, maybe I'll figure it out in time.
A buddy of mine went off line into the grass less than a foot . He hit a hidden rock , crashed and broke 5 ribs!!!!

I was thinking the exact same thing...
In Germany these would still be considered blues (with red features that you can go around), and the gnarnia a red flirting with a black because of that one off camber section... but blacks, and double blacks? Maybe the trail classifications are different in the states...
Still great riding though, it looks like a beautiful place and respect to the builders
In my opinion the trails are listed as black and double black to gather interest and bring people to the park. In the end it's up to the builders to rate the trails and then word of mouth tells the truth.

I sped up the rebound, so that helps keep the noise down :)

Bit Above Average MTB Not everyone likes to ride features built by hand. Out here in California we enjoy a little of both. Nothing wrong with a little cross country riding.
