FIRST IMPRESSIONS OF VIETNAM | Hanoi Hilton, train street & Vietnamese egg coffee

Today we headed out to explore Hanoi! We went to the infamous Hanoi Hilton prison where American prisoners of war were sent during the Vietnam war. It was quite the sobering experience. We know that history is subjective, but seeing exhibits claiming that Americans lived there as if they were tourists in a hotel enjoying themselves was certainly interesting.
After visiting the Hanoi Hilton, we went to the Hanoi train street, which is currently closed to tourists. We found a local who took us to her cafe, and we ended up getting to watch the train pass by, and walk on the tracks!
Later, we went to the famous Hanoi beer street, which was crowded with tourists, and we met up with some friends that we met back in Laos!

You have to stir your Egg Coffee with a spoon to make it homogenous before drinking it . The taste will be much better . FYI nobody was killed at the train street , but only one or two careless tourists who wanted to take selfies too close to the passing train were lightly injured by it
