Of course this is correct, let me tell you something- things that interest you- they arent random, they choosed you because thats what you been born to but not discovered yet. I had no goals for 28 years, just fingers crossed and hoping for best without making goals, but i started searching for my purpose on earth and i found it- skydiving, travelling and improving everything around me what i can. I wish for everyone to find their passions.
Knowledge breeds interest. Question answered. Less succinctly, interest is generated by perceived extentions to a dendritic structure of knowledge. That is how it pretty much has to work, but the motivation to go through with learning more is partly determined by hedonistic desire and partly just because you can. The latter of which we might call a general hunger for knowledge.
that's not true, at least to me if something doesn't interest me, it doesn't matter how much I study (gather knowledge) I'll still forget and don't develop more interest in it
Things that interest you or even those things that you feel passionate for and my not understand in the earlier stages through lack of awareness of self, are in my experience and understanding, things you have a link to or have learnt before.
I'm scared to be optimistic but your thumbnails and titles are accurate, fun or any combination of those and intriguing. We need more channels like this, not this provocative and deceptive click-bait. Thank you.
I know this is a joke. But you're just drawn to dopamine-inducing activities, I'd rather eat than exercise but does that mean I have a passion for eating food?
This is extremely accurate. I relate to what he said about not being interested in exam/study material... my interests have for the last two years been primarily psychometrics, and cognitive, personality and abnormal psychology (among other things). I'm studying psychology at university and, despite my terrible and crippling anxiety due to past failures (which were a consequence of severe depression), am enjoying it. Except... my interests in psychology are somewhat narrow, and we don't learn about those topics that much until second year (I'm first-year). I had a quiz to do on cross-cultural psychology, and couldn't bring myself to read the textbook material beforehand; it was just way too damn boring. So, I took it anyway and tried my best, but only ended up getting 18/30. It's a pass, but still pretty damn shit.
The world/reality/government/nature will force you to pay attention to a bunch of stuff. But nobody forces you to pay attention to your dreams. Hence, your dreams are precisely the thing that you should tyrannically attend to.
I hope you can help me , My future career is being a Chef and i very love it . But my parent don't want me to became a chef. My parent forcing me to became police / military... They always mentioning about wealth = Good life ... What should i do? *Sorry for my bad english*
Don't let your dreams turn into regrets. They will hound you by your deathbed. Try it out, it can go either the way. Life is random but when you choose, you assert yourself and pave a path to your next destination!
simple... dont listen to them... take advice as information, but ultimately think through what you would like to do and how you want your life to look like.. visualise my friend
What did you choose? If you're still on the fence I'd advise you to pick the job you wouldn't mind doing all day, funnily enough for me that would be police and perhaps even a military officer.
Relating this to education. If a teacher would discover the main interest of every student and use that information in moments of learning - would that be optimal to trigger a motive to learn within the students? Say a kid who loves pokemon for example. Using his interest when teaching math by lets say count pokeballs - would that be the most efficient way to get him/her to learn?
As a teacher, it would definitely help. But the problem is it can be quite difficult to relate students interests to subjects. It only gets harder the more students you have to teach at the same time. But yes, it does help. It can even help to motive yourself with studying.
Damn it's creepy, I somehow understand a lot of archetypes now thanks to Jordan but damn I now realize the meaning behind when Cooper gets in the tesseract of black hole scene
Oh lame, I thought he had invented a thumbnail that embedded an icon for whatever the viewer spent time watching/viewing. Nope, just a cheeky wow icon. I guess I AM special....
The title of this video grabbed my attention.

Bad thoughts can keep you from concentrating even on things you love.

This is a great explanation for the law of attraction in which “self” is chosen not inherit
The interests have us and help us in achieving self-realization. Great observations. Thank you.
Such a simple yet powerful idea. Unfortunately you can't be interested in everything that you have to do and learn to succeed..
Ñoppñp
That makes me so disappointed

So when I play warcraft instead of working, it's my instinct of self-realization hinting at my true potential as a powerful warrior
Certainly

You need the wider aim of what you’re going to do with your degree to motivate you

😂🤣 that thumbnail is GOLD 🏅
This is true and it seems to be especially true with people with ADHD.
Jordan you are the best!! Im half way through your biblical study videos, great stuff.
I swear the title said "What *Crabs* Your Interest" lol
It did. :) I immediately fixed it, but RUclips probably took a while to update the title.
Crab? Lobster is offended
Amazingly profound

Interests ...... Atheism..... You dont choose your interests.... they choose you.... Children imitate adults.... hero worship .....
Will there ever be a way of being able to control these things
My interests found me at my 7th birthday, in the form of a book and a chessboard
What to do about the things stopping you from pursuing it

You should call yourself "Psychic Matters".

I'm obsessed with everything so there's no point.
Just no concidences
you wouldn't have to lower yourself by taking snobs at atheists JP
I haven't found many, if any, things I am not interested in. What does that say about me as a person I wonder.
You aren’t honest with yourself. You see things you love, you just are choosing to ignore them
Yo my head is expanding
Everything is predestined by God according to His plan.
I think spirits are behind the scenes. But im just an illiterate, uneducated human being. What do I know of the vast space called my mind? ヽ(;▽;)ノ
I am scared of following these interests though
Wow is wasting your potential basically cuz you're directing your focus into something unproductive.
