She first sees a man she stalks him as if she wants to jump him as in kiss him. Her father sets eyes on her mother for the first time and he kisses her forcefully. She sure has her father's stubbornness bravness and boldness. They picked a good actress because she resimbles both parents.
I love how they made some what of a completely new drama and didn't necessarily pick up from the last one. I also like how they told their story in the beginning so that if you didn't want to or have not watched the first season you wouldn't be lost as far as how the story is going to develop. So far so good but we will see.

Spoiler Alert! Female lead is just so weak, died 3 times in first 8 episodes while got her wing devastated for several times harmed by others, and she always wait for male lead to save her.
In the first 10 minutes, I noticed that this girl is surely Feng Tian Yi's daughter and Ji Shu's granddaughter. She has her way with mechanics and has >75% Tian Yi personality; sly, naughty, with a smooth tongue and a pretty face to go with it all 🤣🤣🤣

But for me, season 1 is quite boring than here cus female lead there is just kind of burdens to the male lead and doesn't know how to protect herself or know martial arts..

This sort of cheaper effects, passionate yet simple but intriguing storyline that Chinese historical and fantasy dramas have is what western fantasy had when I was a kid and that's why I love them. I love modern western fantasy too but sometimes plots in them get so complicated I have to watch the episode multiple times just to connect who's with who and what they're plotting. And that can be very time consuming. I'm not talking just about American media but European too.
