Man you diagnosed and serviced that quickly. Well done. Nice amp and looks like solid construction, wonder why so many transistors bit the dust? Great seeing you work at the bench and you got some good camera angles to really show your work. Look forward to seeing you do more of your magic on this amp.

Hi! I have just caught your chanel and interested in your valuation on Accuphase amps. i have for a long time admired Accuphase products but purchasing them have been beyond my finacial capability's. Lately I have been looking for a second hand/used Accuphase Integraded amplifier, the P-300 been one of them ( hense how I found your chanel ) Buying an amp this old is very risky especially buying it overseas on Ebay. Most I gather have not been looked after eg: not serviced as such. There seems no doubt that parts like capacitors and resisters would need to be replaced to bring back to normal, including cleaning etc. Sorry this is long! My question is confirming how much service would be needed to bring a P-300 or similar product back to life? The cost aproximately and would it be worth it? Taking into account a new Accuphase Int one would be looking at $6,000 to $9,000 US to buy. Would appreciate your feedback on this very much.

My P-300 was completely broken. Every circuit needed significant service and even after fully rebuilding it I encountered another failing transistor in the power supply that needed replacement. A full restoration like the one in the video is very expensive as it’s labor intensive and uses a lot of axial caps which are much more expensive than radials. Assume any P-300 that you are looking at needs significant service at this age. unless it has been fully rebuilt.

Not on a faceplate. Sometimes the metal parts can be painted though.
