    I'm 100% with you on the Giugiaro cars being preferable. The Stephens refresh did what was intended -brought the Esprit into the 90s fro a design aesthetic - but the G car is just cooler IMO. Well done!

    Congrats !! I'm pulling the engine on mine now , upgrading the camshaft followers ( weak link ) . had a crack on 1 , Taking the time to sort through everything . Changing fuel tanks also . Car had been sitting . Get a braided clutch line also , the plastic one swells when it gets hot = no clutch disengagement . I have a 87' w/ calypso red paint & a black interior ( originally tan ) . I had rebuilt the box when i bought it . Great car !!

    Please remove the decal from the rear. It's not standard and looks stupid to other Esprit owners. Look after the door mirrors and the glass roof. It's almost impossible to find replacements. Most other parts are easy to get hold of. Money spent on high quality paintwork and interior trim will go straight on the value of the car (would make a £10k difference easily). The G cars are considerably lighter than the later Stevens Esprit. You actually gain a little in performance and handling 🙂. Drive it and enjoy it! Watch out for speed bumps!

    • @Oneinoneout007
      @Oneinoneout007  Месяц назад +1

      @@jackthehatphoto Totally agree with the sticker on the rear - it’s not standard and at some time I will remove it. I still have to decide on what I am going to do with the paintwork. Leave it as it is and just enjoy driving it or have it repainted. Repainting will definitely improve the look but it will still drive the same. I’m going to live with it and drive it over the next few months and then make a decision on which way to go. The main thing is I’m loving the car - it’s awesome.

    • @jackthehatphoto

    Time will have done it no favours.. so many modern vehicles could run circles around it... Interesting back in the day but not worth the effort now... My friend's dad had one that we loved to see when I was young. But Morris Marina door handles would drive me mad and the general build quality was always terrible.
    If they were less than £7000 then I would say yes but not at the present asking prices .
