just finished secret history and man I loved it soooo much, its soo good I knew I'd love it just because it was kelsier but it was awesome by it self and it made like book 3 even more.
Secret Histories was integral to the events of the second and especially the third mistborn books. in retrospect, they feel incomplete without it, but reading it after the fact made it more satisfying for some reason
I saw the sexy U.K. art of the SecretHistory that’s getting released early next year. Can’t wait to get the paperback edition once that’s out Bands of Mourning was definitely an improvement. My favorite was Steris, followed by Wayne Started Elentris now
Not sure if I'll like flintlock fantasy when I finally read one. Fingers crossed. Secret History was pretty good. Loved having a bit more of Kelsier and of course Hoid.
I loved these reviews, I bought the Mistborn trilogy before christmas - I didn't realise there were still more books in the series. I'm really new to fantasy but this series sounds like a good place to start
I thought Bands of Mourning was great. I agree that there was at least a bit more character development in this book than there was in the others especially for some of the female characters, that we didn't really get to see too much of before. Which I think did make it better than the other Wax and Wayne books, but still for me no where near the level of the original Mistborn books. Like you, that mostly has to do with my level of interest in the time period it's modeled after. As soon as I finished though I picked up Mistborn: Secret History. I haven't gotten to it but I am looking forward to finding out, what Sanderson was keeping from us.

It's a great start point! Enjoy it :-)
Secret history was just alucinant, a crazy astral journey for the cosmere universe. Loved it. :D
As someone with Asperger's Syndome I found myself relating with Steris a lot.
