Another beautiful video! The views and rocks were fantastic, but that root cellar was so interesting! It seems the route was more clearly marked from the Western Bay end, but with such unobstructed views on a clear day, it looked pretty easy to find your destination. Wouldnt want to find the trail on a foggy or rainy day though! Thanks for another great experience!

Thank you Carol! The root cellar was very interesting! It's amazing how they could make a peaked roof like that from rocks and it's still in what we would call perfect condition! Yes it was marked much better from the Western Bay side. Thank you for watching!

It's not a old ATV trail.. It's an old road built by bay people to move from village to village with Newfoundland Ponies and carts. Check Star of the Sea cemetery in Gussets Cove. Me mudder Patsy Forrastall named me after her great grandfather Thomas Forrastall which means safe paddock, who has the nicest headstone in the cemetery. When you walk down the trail if you look to the right you can still see the base of a root cellar and house. There is still a rock wall nearby with rocks removed to make gardens. The local heritage committee are all townies so they won't recognize this Irish Anglo Norman history of the place.. Well Vikings do scare town folks considering our history? Funny how history changes now it's the town folks turn to take all our stuff . Hey Sue please don't hit with a ugly stick while I play me Bodhrán singing Wexford . Just a little ragged muffin bedlam like me mudder before me singing and telling jokes.. She would tell moi,me little daring boy you will never starve with a smile on yer lips and a song in heart you will be king of all you see..But me mudder Patsy also told me, boy have some regards fer others and if you take a shite in woods put a rock on it and if you sit on a rock wall leave some bread, honey and coin fer the fairy folk or they will like a chieftain of old who fled from defense of his own first turn u into a bird then a leprechaun.. It's hard being the world's tallest leprechaun the mad Tom of bedlam.. Before you start with the stereotype of shortness.. Dats a narrow view to have of the world .. luchorpán or small boy might be a trickster fairy but none of you are getting none of my lucky charms... just leave a gift of Honey and coin on the rock wall and if you have a shite put a rock on it ..dats polite....if you look like angel ,talk like an angel, Walk like angel.. Butt eye got wise your a luchorpán in disguise =;-)
