Oh wow, not too often I hear that gen 6 was someone's first Pokemon game. How do you like it compared to others if you don't mind my asking? A lot of people see gen 6 as a weaker one so I'm curious on your thoughts.
Gen 6 was not my first game however it is the reason why I got into the Pokemon games. When I saw the annoucement for X and Y I bought HeartGold and Black so I could more or less catch up. HeartGold is still my favorite due to nostalgia since I grew up with the first two gens of the anime. But X and Y will always have a special place for me.
It's not the soundtrack It was that the game was too easy cause of Mega Evolutions Actually all he enemies in the game was quite weak. So people thought it was forgettable Wish they implement dynamic difficulty
@@viridian8786 nah apparently some people think the soundtrack is the most forgettable, this is something I learned somewhat recently. Which is absolutely wild to me because I think XY has one of the most memorable soundtracks
100% Agreed, when I first played Y back in 2014 (got it slightly later), I was expecting some boring old trainer themes, but when I heard this I felt refreshed and even til now like we gotta admit that this just one of the hardest themes in Pokémon period
First Pokemon game that I enjoyed massively since Red/Blue-Gold/Silver-Ruby/Sapphire. X/Y/Z holds special place for me and I hope the new Pokemon will as well :)
i always associated this theme more with pokémon showdown than with gen 6 also it's been almost 10 years since xy came out, it genuinely feels like yesterday
To me it's actually more weird that I've known Pokeman as a kid since Gen 4 and yet in the time I've been actually playing it there's only been 6, 7, and 8.
Pokemon X & Y's Trainer Battle theme is probably the closest we'll ever get to a classic Gen 1-2 sounding Pokemon battle theme ever purely because of the strings that plays around here at 0:12. Plus the rhythm is easy to follow unlike the more messier techno direction in later gen Pokemon games.
Ah yes, me using the Battle Manor incessantly to get my new favorite pokemon to 100 burned this theme in my mind. I'm gonna be trying to request the Elite Four/Gym leader themes, now.
I barely remember anything about X except that it's the very simplest that a first-time 3D Pokémon could be, but what I do know is that the graphics style is literally 100% perfect for the series and I was SO disappointed when they started making characters tall and ugly for no reason. And because of that chibi style combined with nostalgia, it's my second-favorite behind Gen 7 who stole its Zygarde story and ran off with it and then dropped the Zygarde story entirely and *man these games are rushed as heck* Anyway I always loved hearing this!
Please make a cover of Ghost from Cyphisonia Ep. or Ghoul from U.U.F.O. by Camellia Those songs are great, and that one drum part in Ghoul is just satisfying
@@justalpha9138 I don't know about the anime but I really did not have fun with gen 7+ games... To many annoying characters, no real improvement/ change of graphics and animations compared to gen 6, worse "in battle feafure" (Mega evolutions are the best imo) and the fact that Ultra Sun/ Moon "had to be made" in the first place + being sold at full price even though it is just an upgrade to an already existing game... If you have/had fun with gen 7+, good for you. I didn't...
@@cryptyyy_7667 The gen six games seemed pretty boring, but then Sun and Moon was a bit improvement. Then there was Sword and Shield which I've heard from so many to be the absolute worst game in the series.
@@justalpha9138 How is S/M an improvement from X/Y? S/M has a 2 hour long tutorial, an annoying rival that just doesn't shut up, Z-moves (aka worse Mega-evolution) a stupid/ silly 'antagonist faction' and the fact that US/UM had to be made because S/M was... empty. The only good thing about S/M and US/UM are some nice and interesting pokemon and maybe the overall theme/ design of Alola. Yes Sw/Sh are really bad games.
@@cryptyyy_7667 S&M has a really really good villain in Lusamine, the tutorials weren't THAT long, but they still offered you some helpful advice that would make you play the game in a good way, I liked Hau quite a lot, and I think that Z moves are more interesting than Mega Evolution because you actually have to go through many different, challenging bosses just to acquire one crystal, giving you a good sense of challenge and reward.

Also my first game! And uh.. I'm ashamed to admit that I never beat the elite four.. I was like 11 when I got it
