Many times i quetioned God and myself why God seems not helping me although I believe in His word and promises and for His help for the troubled and i know that i genuinely believe in Him and i thank Him in times of troubles like He commands in scripture but recently i came to think that Hes angry at me and maybe possible that i am not a true believer i am not His child because when i ask God to help me when times in need according to his promises i didnt get the answer or it seems im just delusional that gives me discouragement!..but im keeping asking Him for mercy everytime..actually im confuse now because i know that I believe in His word and i obey at the best of my ability but i know its not enough im far from it but im asking Him continually for a strength by His grace..please pray for me!

This is common among Christian Pastors. They give you a lot of filler information before getting to the message. In the military he have a phrase BLUF which means "Bottom Line Up Front". This is why Christians backside...the message is lost in the noisy. This will discourage a young saint.

I don't believe in formulas for the christian life either, but this one seems to be about making sure we're walking in the spirit, before a specific action/decision. I don't think it's harmful if those steps are done genuinely, wanting to listen to God.
None of you are living an authentic Christian life. From what Jesus required for being his disciple, up to and including even the thought crimes verses, no one is in compliance. Participants who call themselves believers manifest none of the signs of "them that believe". This shouldnt be shocking as following all the precepts, and parameters are impossible. Chasing your tail in any attempt to comply with such ridiculous standards of behavior will make you a tortured, subjugated victim of a very affective sociological control mechanism, wallowing in your perceived unworthiness, groveling for forgiveness for inevitable failures, yet never finding a resolution for more than a fleeting moment.
Hey Andre I totally agree that no one can live the Christian life. I know the Bible speaks about we all fall short of the glory of God and that we all sin. We know that’s why Jesus came and paid our debt. My question then is why do so many pastors teach so heavily on what we can DO to be better Christians, rather than acknowledging that we will never be able to live the Christian life and that we need Jesus to save us from sin and wherever we fall short. Many times i quetioned God and myself why God seems not helping me although I believe in His word and promises and for His help for the troubled and i know that i genuinely believe in Him and i thank Him in times of troubles like He commands in scripture but recently i came to think that Hes angry at me and maybe possible that i am not a true believer i am not His child because when i ask God to help me when times in need according to his promises i didnt get the answer or it seems im just delusional that gives me discouragement!..but im keeping asking Him for mercy everytime..actually im confuse now because i know that I believe in His word and i obey at the best of my ability but i know its not enough im far from it but im asking Him continually for a strength by His grace..please pray for me!

I don't believe in formulas for the christian life either, but this one seems to be about making sure we're walking in the spirit, before a specific action/decision.
I don't think it's harmful if those steps are done genuinely, wanting to listen to God.
None of you are living an authentic Christian life. From what Jesus required for being his disciple, up to and including even the thought crimes verses, no one is in compliance. Participants who call themselves believers manifest none of the signs of "them that believe". This shouldnt be shocking as following all the precepts, and parameters are impossible. Chasing your tail in any attempt to comply with such ridiculous standards of behavior will make you a tortured, subjugated victim of a very affective sociological control mechanism, wallowing in your perceived unworthiness, groveling for forgiveness for inevitable failures, yet never finding a resolution for more than a fleeting moment.
Hey Andre I totally agree that no one can live the Christian life. I know the Bible speaks about we all fall short of the glory of God and that we all sin. We know that’s why Jesus came and paid our debt. My question then is why do so many pastors teach so heavily on what we can DO to be better Christians, rather than acknowledging that we will never be able to live the Christian life and that we need Jesus to save us from sin and wherever we fall short.
