LOL. I call it the Teletubbie Edition of the Simpson due to the bright colors. Still a great meter, even with the slightly different ranges.

TRIVIA:The Blue and yellow Simpson based meter in this video was featured in Season 1 Ep. 10 of the show Halt and Catch Fire. Around 27:45 into the episode you can see one of these meters out of focus in the background as he puts the ring on her finger.

Soak with fresh lemon juice to remove the green gunk, wipe off afterward

Out of passing interest, Probe Master carries inverted banana lead sets

rwbishop Thanks for the reply. Yes, PopbeMaster does make this style of probe, and they make really nice probes. My concern was more that I like to swap probes and test leads around a lot when hooking things up. I often prefer to have some sort of clip leads attached so I don't have to hold probes in places, etc. The little adapters let me use all the standard banana leads and probes.

Just scored a Simpson KS- at a thrift store for 4 bucks. Former USN ETR-2, 68-74, maintained GCA RADAR and TACAN at NAS Miramar. Always irritating that the scale jumped from 12 to 60V no good at-all for automotive troubleshooting!!!
