  • This short video is mainly here to give on protip: you can totally mix and match switches in your board. Having lighter switches for you pinkies is a great example just like adding more weight to a space bar.

Love your videos @CalmCode :) They are very informative and the natural tone is very refreshing :) Makes me want to dig more into keyboard DIY :)

I did this and it just work!
I've put some really creamy switch and rubber in WASD to reduce the lenght and the sound, and then I've put a TTC Frozen Silent Switch in Space Bar (It's completly silent now!), Shift, Enter, Backspace, the rest are a regular creamy (Gateron Milky Yellow V3).

Ever type on a KB with Cherry Silvers? They have initial 30cN of force and 45cN of actuation force. The weight of my hands/fingers inadvertently presses the switches so I ended up swapping them for Blacks.

Realforce Topre keyboards come with variable weights for ergonomics, 45g for the index fingers, 35g for the outer ones, and 55g for the escape key.
