Man I remember F Zero GX was hard at first for me, but eventually I was able to get over the learning curve and it turned out to easily be one of my favorite all time games. The tracks had an incredible design and the graphics were simply stunning. Its amazing that it looked that great on the Gamecube console. I could only imagine how great a new F Zero would look on the Wii U, which actually has HD graphics.
No, the AI in this game does this weird side to side movement that isn't the strafing that you can do with the triggers. And like Eric said they are doing it through the mine area to show off haha.
Took my 50 attempts in a sitting after trying for days before that. Had to manipulate the AI by staying close to them the whole race and sprinting passed them on the final stretch. Outracing them is almost impossible unless you're doing what CGN does.
I first got the game in Christmas 2003, took me until 2005 I think to get chapter 7, rage quit and stopped playing it for a while, took me until high school to actually beat the chapter and story.
Well one thing's for sure, this game needs a remake with more characters, a much higher sense of speed and more awesome tracks, maybe even some throwbacks to F-Zero X's tracks. And the trailer has to be really hyped up, too.
@Metafour Ah...that must be one of those comments that I forgot about 30 seconds after I posted it. (Of which I have very many. It's...it's a problem.) I like to think I've gotten wiser with 8 years between then and now, though. And yeah, the sense of speed is already phenomenal in GX. If a sequel were to happen, though, I could at least think of some new mechanics to please the "Innovation or no sequel" mindset that Nintendo currently has right now. For starters, how about slipstream? Doesn't even have to come into play all that often, but I think making it similar to turbulence from Sonic Riders could shake up a race. Why not alternate parts for pre-existing machines? Want to further customize how your machine handles outside of just setting a slider on a graph? That's where the alternate parts come in. Mix and match them to suit your playstyle, or whatever track you're racing at. Part durability, perhaps? It won't come into play at all in your standard 3-Lap race, but if you're going for an endurance race (20 laps, let's say), some of your machine parts might just blow if you push too hard. The thing I think we need above all else, though, is a track customizer. We have had one in EXpansion Kit, but that was Japan only, the customizer had its limits, and it took a bit of figuring out to get anything done with it. I think a spline system straight out of a modern day coaster tycoon game (Planet Coaster, for instance) would make it much more intuitive. From there, just tick a few settings for special elements. (Pit lanes, bombs, lava, ice, dash plates, jumps, branching paths and even roads that must be driven around twice to complete one lap.) And then that would just be the dream F-Zero *racing* game. Since the AV team ended up rebranding to Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios, I can imagine a Yakuza beat-em-up with an F-Zero skin as a spinoff. That would focus on Captain Falcon's other life as a bounty hunter, an aspect of him that even Nintendo seems to have forgotten at this point. So yeah...sense of speed doesn't need any more buffs. GX perfected the formula on that end, lol. Still, though, I think there's a lot that can be done with the series beyond that. If only it would just be given a chance by the executives.
Child's play. You think you can beat me. You'll never beat me, Black shadow. Captain Falcon will always be bound. But then this guy takes it up another notch by demolishing the hardest chapter on the hardest difficulty, and the only way they can touch him is if he lets them.
I just beat chapter 7 on very hard last night, my time was 2:53. I think I'm now physically ill from playing it. This video, to say the least, is insaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane.
got this game for Christmas managed to finally get all characters and do all cups on master a couple of weeks ago after A LOT of stress, mainly due to this level, AMAZING to see all that stress I went through only to see my time get SMASHED by this haha....
They have something called the Pro Controller witch looks like a 360 controller but with the buttons and right analog stick swtiched around. Also since the Wii U works with the Wii remote maybe they could also use the classic controller.
Spencer Brayman Actually, that's an advanced technique. It's called the Shift Boost. You can do it by driving fast enough over dips or hills, or by purposefully cutting corners or jumping off the track for a fraction of a second. It is hard to master, and is usually the best way to beat staff ghosts. I think heavy machines are the best doing this.
I like F-Zero for all the reasons you mentioned. I missed many good games for not having purchased a PS2, but GC had its great exclusives one couldn't find anywhere else. Given Wii U' s target audience, it would be sad to just discard F-Zero. Now Toshihiro Nagoshi is too busy with Yakuza, however, who knows, maybe Nintendo's partnership with Platinum Games will help! Platinum likes this kind of hallucinating things.
Yeah man it pisses me off that Nintendo seems to not want to go ahead and make it. I fail to see how they think that the last installment wasn't a success. Possibly the absolute best looking game they made for the GC and it was just great too. I would go out and buy a Wii U if they re released F Zero GX w/ online game play. But IDK though, Killer Instinct came back after 17 years, hopefully Nintendo will finally pull thru and bring back the best futuristic racing franchise as well.
Sadly it doesn't look like it will happen, at least not anytime soon. I think at E3 someone asked about F-Zero and Miyamoto said "We don't have anything planned" or something similar. Seems like Nintendo has taken a habit of giving a franchise that had a game that didn't sell well the cold shoulder. But hey it did take them over 20 years to make a new Kid Icarus game, maybe we'll see f-zero again someday.
On one hand, online multiplayer vs people to challenge your skill. On the other hand, online lag that divebombs the game from 60 FpS to something like 20-30 FpS.
I am not looking forward to this Chapter on Very Hard. I never used any of the techniques in the video, and I have a feeling learning the techniques might be more difficult than just toughing through the Chapter and beating it the "intended" way. Bah, I really am not looking forward to the last 3 chapters.
But even w/ that said, I really don't see how F Zero would play on the Wii U. That controller thing just doesn't seem like it could effectively control an F Zero Game. I would think that if they were going to do it, it would have to come with its own type of controller, so obviously the total cost of the game would be higher.
So did this guy. He just got bored with the game playing like that and decided to find these glitches. Now he just goes for world records. Or at least that's most likely how it went.
When Falcon said to Black Shadow, "You'll never beat me.", he wasn't fucking around.

I have beaten F-Zero GX a few times. It is still FRIGGEN hard!
Seeing the CPU's get lapped on this nightmarish mission fills me with great joy.
Show the cheating AI who's boss.
For real. 😂
Yes.
Took me 57 attempts WITH as many speedrun techniques as I could fit in. Still the hardest thing I've ever beaten.
Sorry for asking but... Are you a kind of machine ?
Dude... For the longest I have tried to beat this on very hard and you just destroy it.....
5 laps of pure skill and awesomeness. I loved it!
2:24
was that the AI doing snaking?
Traversing the landmines
No, the AI in this game does this weird side to side movement that isn't the strafing that you can do with the triggers. And like Eric said they are doing it through the mine area to show off haha.
My favorite course. Insane gameplay btw💥
I heard this chapter was notoriously hard on very hard even by very hard standards
Took my 50 attempts in a sitting after trying for days before that. Had to manipulate the AI by staying close to them the whole race and sprinting passed them on the final stretch. Outracing them is almost impossible unless you're doing what CGN does.
Mario87456 I lost count how many times I had to do this on normal mode to complete this.
I first got the game in Christmas 2003, took me until 2005 I think to get chapter 7, rage quit and stopped playing it for a while, took me until high school to actually beat the chapter and story.
2:05 is Beastman - if you pause at just the right frame it's easy to see.
He also laps a red car (which I'm pretty sure is Mighty Gazelle) at 2:02.
Well one thing's for sure, this game needs a remake with more characters, a much higher sense of speed and more awesome tracks, maybe even some throwbacks to F-Zero X's tracks. And the trailer has to be really hyped up, too.

Just realized that the sound effect it makes when you're out of meter got used in Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.
I just beat chapter 7 on very hard last night, my time was 2:53. I think I'm now physically ill from playing it. This video, to say the least, is insaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaane.
This game was fucking impossible. But at least chapter 7 comes with the most epic music in the F Zero universe
Impossible? I've done the whole Story Mode on Very Hard.
Hard as balls? SURE.
Impossible? Nope.
Nice run. You even managed to lap 30th.
he lapped more than 30th at the end he had lapped another like 3 or more
HOLY SHIT! I cleared this on normal...you DESTROYED the competition!
got this game for Christmas managed to finally get all characters and do all cups on master a couple of weeks ago after A LOT of stress, mainly due to this level, AMAZING to see all that stress I went through only to see my time get SMASHED by this haha....

That guy at the end wasn't snaking. It's just the AI dodging the mines. They do that on all difficulties.
wow, i like this run better than other ones
How do you take such sharp turns? When I use the stick+shoulder I only turn at around half the sharpness of your turns..
CAME HERE FROM AGDQ
Ah yes, the way the creators of this level intended the player to perform
Is that just MTS what he does at the ice part or something more cryptic?
I can never figure out the glitch you use with the are with no guardrails. How can you pull it off so well without falling off?
Spencer Brayman Actually, that's an advanced technique. It's called the Shift Boost. So, what, did Captain Falcon himself pick up the controller for this run? Just another normal race for him, I'm sure...
What machine did you lap near the slick area? The Hyper Speeder?
Did you lap Pico at the beginning of the fifth lap, about 2:05 in the video? It looked like you lapped someone, but I couldn't quite tell who.
What device did you Purchase CGN to transfer your game video to the computer? Just curious
My guy went mach Jesus
I'm with ya. I'd buy a Wii U in a heart beat if they announced a new F-Zero game for it.
Is the the zipper pad in the middle of the track not useful?
The shift boosting technique is way more useful. Can be down when there are no railings on the track. Not everywhere though.
Ive beaten this on very hard before but im just noticing...was that a hidden route?
I needed 34'369'' more. Doesn't matter, still proud.
Yes, but the joystick is only at maybe about half input. If you go full force on the joystick, you'll fall of the edge.
At about what speed would you suggest to stop mt when using captain falcon?
nice consistent shift boosts
what's the music track called that plays on this track?
+Zwataketa, The Aspy Gamer For the Glory feat. Mute City. :)

I only beat this story mission by getting lucky with accidently landing on a grenade to get first after too many tries.
Yeah man it pisses me off that Nintendo seems to not want to go ahead and make it. I fail to see how they think that the last installment wasn't a success. SHIFT BOOOOSSSTT!!!!!!
killing it!
I wonder what if F-zero gx would've been like a online multiplayer. Would it be more epic or it would fail. *-*
On one hand, online multiplayer vs people to challenge your skill.
On the other hand, online lag that divebombs the game from 60 FpS to something like 20-30 FpS.
This is the only chapter that I cheated with Action Replay on.
I still can't,........but can't beat the VERY HARD difficulty of this level when I was a kid. Ugh 😣
I'm still Waiting for my next Gen F-Zero Nintendo. It's been what? 10 years since this game came out? Holy shit, hurry the hell up.
Yeah well they won't have the same development team so it would be a way different game probably lacking in the speed techniques this game possesses.
A speedrun is generally about abusing the fuck out of glitches
I am not looking forward to this Chapter on Very Hard. Eh, it's cool. You are the record holder, after all so your method obviously works.
My favorite way to beat this is to just kill Shadow and Blood Hawk haha
So did this guy. He just got bored with the game playing like that and decided to find these glitches. Now he just goes for world records. Or at least that's most likely how it went.
He didn't find them all. He has basically perfected a lot of them though.
..............damn
I will personally let u come to my house to beat this level on easy...
HALY SHIT!!!
Nothing makes people want to listen to someone's opinion more than casual homophobia.
Elastic opponents ftl xD
I'm sure I got first on this with a time of over 3 minutes. :P
why the fuck isnt he snaking?
Because this is the 100% Max Speed ladder.
So what you are saying is you played like a noob. Congrats, you are the man!
lol you overlapped ppl
@lagufirtnec MAN U SO LATE
U r
