I recently purchased CCA’s CRA+ as I am relegated completely to budget IEM’s and I have been VERY pleased with this set. I paid much less than retail for them so there’s that lol !😂
Can't say I really expected a decent set from this company after some of the past concerns. 2 DD 8 BA should have tons of potential. I will always be leary though that the reviewed set and the set I'd buy wouldn't match graph-wise. Hopefully, that won't be an issue, but it says something that is still on people's minds.

This is a very nice cable, I just don't like those terminations with that ugly carbon effect!! I couldn't see it well but thats what it looks like... As far as the IEM is concerned, I simply don't like this new bulky style full of switches!

We keep getting options to change treble or bass with dsp switches, yet reviewers keep telling us its all about ear gain? Surprised no ones giving us switches for that region.
for outside use BT earphones are g8, specially when, riding bike or bicycle. Sony xm4 is one of my favorite. i have a Bang & Olufsen - B&O Play - Earset. and itz more then great .
Usage determines whether I use TWS or wired, and also whether in ear or headphone. Tend to use bluetooth TWS/Headphones or DSP earphones when out and about or a USB DAC and IEM from my laptop and headphones when using my hi-fi system . Love me a bit of ELO, saw Jeff Lynne's ELO live a few years ago, they were fantastic .
the $100-$200 market keeps getting better and better, not that long ago if you wanted the performance that you are getting at this price range today you had to spend probably twice as much.
I'm a little more interested in having one of this set than the Rhapsody I almost bought as an "experiment". Yeah, sure they are clearly not in the same price range... the hydro still seems to be kinda affordable and the cable really makes it a bit more "premium-feeling".
I’ve never used a set with switches … I’m guessing for they’d be set once and left alone … couldn’t see me fiddling with them track to track … perhaps genre switching?
I've seen a lot of photos of the Hydro in what looks like a dark blue color, which looks good and matches the name. But on their site I only see a black color. Any idea if there's a blue one somewhere?

For an extra $5 they give an "Blue mixed upgrade cable" - have no idea what's the difference apart from the core being 784 silver...

At first I thought this was a Linsoul exclusive. Seems it is not. Home the drivers are tuned a little better than in Rhapsody (which is not that bad).

Dip switches annoy the heck outta me. Filters are the next on the list, warming to DSP though. A lot of competitors in the price band.
I like dip switches, probably the fastest way to go between settings for testing purposes, better than nozzles or the weird Starfield 2 bass plugs
so far only pr2 is only planar in my collection. i wonder what’s best planar these days 🤔
