Really good video, thoroughly enjoyed it. This video does remind me of your 2019 version which you did at Derby which you did in the pouring rain. Even though the weather most weekends is absolutely horrendous in the uk, thank you for taking the time and effort to make these videos, I really do appreciate the amount of work behind the scenes to make these videos.
Cross country is getting an additional 5 voyagers which is good, hopefully more Reading to Newcastle services do return in June 2025 but who knows. In my experience recently of using the Reading to Newcastle trains, boarding at Banbury mainly, they're great as they avoid Solihull but only problem is that not enough of them are reinstated. Oh well, just have to wait and see

Thank you for the kind words! I honestly can't see the Reading to Newcastle trains coming back at all and they'll stick to the irregular services they do currently. I mainly think it's so they can strengthen in other areas of the network. Have a good weekend too!

Nice video Kieran!! A nice selection you got there with some good shots too!! I do agree that the smell of burning brakes can be quite awful was especially bad on the HSTs when they were braking from high speed too!! I noticed that 4 car 222s have gained an extra carriage because 22104 the full purple one had a white liveried carriage in the middle, maybe they took some coaches out of the 7 cars? Good that XC have announced 12 more voyagers to their fleet and full refurbishment of everything, will be interesting to see how the capacity performs after this!
Thanks mate! Yeah it's a weird smell tbh, can never get used to it after all these years! Yeah they took one carriage out of the 7 car ones I believe.
Nice video, Derby used to be a brilliant station for spotting due to the variety of traction but now its just 222/21/20s and 170s with the odd 158.
I mean in my opinion not much has changed in what is served. The only things missing now are the HSTs and 156s, otherwise what was there before still is there. But I do agree it has lost its variety a little bit.
