hold ctrl + spacebar for temporarily zoom tool. The same function as hand tool when pressing & hold spacebar but this is for the zoom tool.

Ha! Didn't know that one :) I rather use the Alt key + the mouse wheel, though. Thanks for sharing!

I might just start making more stuff with Illustrator. But where to start? I don’t even know what I want to do but I know I want to do it.

I believe the best way to start, if you don't have a specific project, is to look for some design reference (on Dribbble or Behance, perhaps) and then try to recreate it. Look for something not so simple but not too complex, and start fiddling around in the software. When you hit a barrier for something you don't know how to do, there are numerous places you can look for help: RUclips, Reddit, the Adobe documentation itself... but try to avoid searching before you try making it yourself. Once you figure out how the logic of the program works, it becomes easier to "figure things out" (by that I mean where things usually are - menus, panels, tools...). I guarantee that by making 2 or 3 projects you will have a solid foundation of Illustrator and will be able to do basically everything you can think of.
And, of course, always keep an eye on my Channel 😬😂

Well, now I have to see if I can get my brain to learn the mouse wheel short cuts after 20 years of using the space bar...lol. Another great video!

Hahahaha yes! I've been using After Effects and Audition for a while, so I'm getting more used everyday to panning with the mouse wheel, since spacebar just starts playback. It's not a big deal tho, but using the mouse wheel is 1 less key to press :P Thank you Chris!
