地面に止まって何かをしているアオバセセリ 20240721

学名: Choaspes benjaminii
場所: 岐阜県中津川市
アオバセセリ（Choaspes benjaminii）が地面に止まったり飛んだりしているのを観察していたのですが、そのうち落ちている枝の脇に止まって何かをはじめました。
腹を曲げて土や枝に押し付けているようで、産卵かと思ったのですが、アオバセセリが地面に卵を産むなんて聞いたことがありません。
ただ確かにこの場所のこの位置にこだわりがあるようで、ずっと動かず何かをしていて、iPhoneを近づけても動かず、飛んでも同じ場所に戻ってきます。
いったい何をしているのでしょう？
I was observing a Choaspes benjaminii as it alternated between resting on the ground and flying. Eventually, it landed next to a fallen branch and started doing something.
It appeared to be bending its abdomen and pressing it against the soil or the branch, which made me think it might be laying eggs. However, I’ve never heard of Choaspes benjaminii laying eggs on the ground.
It definitely seemed to have a strong attachment to this specific spot, as it stayed there doing something, even when I approached it with my iPhone. If it flew away, it always came back to the same spot.
What on earth is it doing?
