- Since the release of my previous video, where I showed the SFM animation files from the legendary "Meet The Polka", I got a few requests asking me to do the entire animation. So I did.

I like how some scenes have a better lip sync than the original animation
I originally wanted to stay true to the original, but some of the models were bugged out so much (Either with the animation files itself or cosmetics I wanted to use) I just replaced them. And when I did, I said to myself "Eh, Manual Lipsyncing Time".
But I also felt if I did that for the whole animation, it would kinda take away from the history. It's about finding a delicate balance (for me, at least).
@@SonderCycle someday I wanna see someone doing a better lip sync with the song and keeping the funny animations. I sometimes feel that the not lip sync makes it… weird

3:20 fixed the A-posing shadow. Nice. I like how Heavy now has a minigun and not a small child in this version.
the spinning Sniper bot was a good one
The lip syncing was much better in this version as well.
Thank you. I wanted to make both small tweaks (A-Pose shadow) and replacements (The small character is Justin Bieber), some stuff was either bugged in the files or it didn't sit right with me imo

Honestly it’s better without the ponies, but it’s sad that the creator got harassed a lot so he released the files so people could remove them, I don’t like the show but whoa, they have taken it too far

This video is now another time capsule. Just like the original now had ponies and hatred for JB, this one has bots and insane cosmetics. In 2033 it's gonna be really nostalgic. Love this video

several interesting notes about the video:
The video really lives up to the title; why so? here's why:
1. every character is wearing mostly the cheaper cosmetics, most expensive cosmetic I saw was engineer wearing the Flash of Inspiration (Excluding unusuals, I'l get to that later on)
2. the original video came out one year after SFM's releace, 11 years in enough time for artist to sharpen their filmmaking skills.
3. The unusuals seen in the video are 100% seasonal unusuals, which are pretty cheap compared to the OG effects, meaning you see alot of people wearing one of those effects.
4. the mlp stuff from the original video fits the 2012-2013 period (I should know I was a brony back then). it was pretty popular in tf2 also, you'd regularly see players with pony themed names (yes, even I had a pony themed name, don't ask). After 2019 the brony fandom died down, since the show ended. in 2022-23 tf2bers would use the Bearded Expense "jumscare". the bot problem was also a main issue for the last 3 years and after valve introduced the Starboard Crusader, the jojo memes became a mainstay in tf2 culture. in short - changing the mlp stuff from the 2012 with stuff from the 2023 is a nobrainer. (Even if people wanted to ponies gone from the original video.)

Everything about this is better, but still, both meet the polka final and this are still amazing
The lip sync is really nice, and the removal of mlp and JB was a good move. Some of the cosmetics are kinda strange not a big fan of the unusuals but I don’t like them in game anyways so it’s not really that much of a problem exclusive to this. I like the high quality and the addition of more modern tf2 stuff. I also like how the music dosent get affected by the maps Reverb which is a bit of a gripe I had with the original. Great work all around
Edit: the reverb is very noticeable in the original around 3:43 or the beginning of the ‘baby are you down’ bit. And around 4:16
Thank you. Yeah, some of the original stuff didn't really sit right with me, so I felt it was a good move to make. It's also okay to have your own taste in cosmetics. Also I added the music in post production instead of rendering it into the SFM movie, which prevents the reverb in certain spots in the map

2012 was the worst year if you ever played around that year mlp was every where and the Fandom was really toxic (still is)
To be fair if it weren't for the ponies in the original, this video wouldn't exist. The creator of the original got so sick of people criticizing it for having ponies in that he released the sfm files for the video so other people could remake it without the ponies.

Replacing the MLP reference with a JJBA reference somehow feels just as out-of-place as it was in the original. It's just as much of an unnecessary insert as every other reference in the original as well.
So you somehow managed to make the modern version just like the original. I love it.

This video and the original are the perfect embodiment of the early SFM era back in mid-late 2012 with so many users that most of them are noobs in 3D animation who just want to make funny animations no matter how crappy they look. It's all about making something funny and entertaining for everyone to watch and some started getting serious like Winglet, Crash Maul, and yours truly.

The original was for tf2 of the early days, with its stock loadouts and MLP references, but this new version brings an old classic to the modern day. IMO my new favourite version! Great job on it!
