God's Menu and Back Door are totally different and I like that differences
In their vlive this morning, where they performed some of the songs. Felix said that song is about Stays having always Stray Kids there. He said something along the lines of “we will always have our door open”
I guess they mean it in the way of forgetting your problems and have fun in a place you belong. Cuz in the beginning they’re talking about a party and entering from the back door.
It’s like the main door is our life problems, it’s facing everything. So they say for us to come in through the back door and enjoy the party while we can. Does it make sense? Am I thinking too much?

personally, my favourite part is the ending/closing where they return back to the groovy instrumental and have a small dance break. i don’t know why, but it’s just so clean, so satisfying, so pleasing to watch. it’s almost like we’re winding down slowly but surely from how hype we got just a moment ago, finishing it off cleanly, and finally shutting that back door.

There's a lot of renaissance motifs in this video (the flower painting at the beginning with Lee Know, the flowers in vases throughout the main lobby(?) Of the museum they're in, the creation of man motif) which makes sense as renaissance is a rebirth which skz have described these two albums as...if that makes sense? Others have broken it down much better than me 🤣
The end of the choreo reminds me of the Newsies cast coming out in pairs for their final bow, it was really entertaining. Back Door took a few listens to get into but I'm kind of falling in love with it lmao

The transitions and the *knock knock* part it is for me and *Felix's "hey you wanna come in?"* hits different 🔥🔥🔥🔥. *HAPPY BIRTHDAY FELIX 🎊🎉* and *HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO HAN 🎊🎉. Changbin* went hard on the *"Back Door"* choreography part and I love it!
You really nailed it on the analysis of the message of the song, at least based on what I know. God’s Menu was always going to be really( really hard to follow up with how epic it is but I think this was a great next step.

The fusion between these 2 albums is just so amazing...this is definitely new for skz so it sounds amazing that they are able to pull it off...the dances for both albums next level as well

Now that song is amazing *one of my favourites this year along with easy* but God's menu is probably their best era ! I never usually get into groups because of an MV *it's usually shows or fun compilation* but i became a stay after watching the *teaser* of god's menu so i feel like that was a strong era in the whole kpop industry for real *and i have been a kpop stan since 2008*
I definitely like this song, but God's Menu is just.. IT for me. It hits all of the marks and is a song I could play on repeat over and over again. I am so excited for everything coming from Stray Kids lately, however, and this will still be going on my playlist!

i didn’t know how they were gonna comeback after gods menu bc that was god tier, but somehow they outdid themselves yet again. expect NOTHING less from stray kids.
i’d say back door isn’t necessarily better than gods menu, nor is gods menu to back door. they’re both really memorable/special in their own style, while keeping the iconic stray kids sound. this dance was really eye catching, though i do agree, gods menu had a very very big impact and was really quite memorable because of how powerful it was.
in terms of the song, i’m personally a sucker for groovy beats, and the verses is fully of them so this has been on repeat all day for me (i looove me some bass guitar). it is quite different from what they’ve done before, as they commonly pull of songs that are full of energy ALL the way through. but they mastered this so well. it’s new, but it still retains the hype stray kids sound we know and love when the chorus hits you like a truck. after all, stray kids are known for the diversity in their music; that’s practically what they were singing about in God’s Menu LMAO
it amazes me how wide of a range they’ve covered and most importantly, mastered.
this comeback is truly the whole package, i’m so so satisfied. we got something new, but familiar at the same time.
i definitely recommend checking out the new songs on the repackaged album. There are 8 new ones (including Back Door) in addition to the ones previously released on the GO LIVE album. Three of them are the unit songs they performed during their District 9 concert.

I came here to see if anyone told you but i didn't see any comments so I'll just say it: in last week's "Chan's Room" (his weekly live) Chan said that he saw that many channels were uploading reaction videos and then went through some of the titles. He also said "there is a performer reacting" in between. He said he watched many reactions and that he was going to watch more so I'm pretty sure he watched yours too! Congrats

When you realized that its connected to gods menu, bcs on the end of the video they went to the exit door, which is obviously the backdoor to any place, really cool, oh and if you watch the MV of 19 (not noticing w00jin) you can see on the curtains in says "BACK" and has a legit door beside it.

What I got from their music video:
*Back door obviously refers to a VIP entrance for exclusive people which therefore tells us that there is something inside that is spectacular or special which needs to be hidden or protected from the common folk. SKZ is a group of idols which means they ARE exclusive people which means they have a ticket or are allowed to enter the back door.
*HOWEVER! They choose to open it for other people as well. In the trailer they face two guards but also bring in other people who I assume are NOT allowed. Yet, they still choose to pull the lever to let them in. "You wanna come in?" is their line for people who WANT to. Which means it is an open invitation for all as they can just simply "knock knock" their way in.
*Also, Notice in Changbin's part in the second verse where they kept on pulling the lever up while other Exclusives keep on pulling it back down. They represent the wealthy who are selfish and think so highly of themselves. Flashback to Miroh where SKZ went against the wealthy so that they can celebrate a party with the people.
*Aside from Miroh, it especially has a connection with God's Menu. Remember that GM is a song about experimentation(construction site), creation(kitchen), and competition(race track). It was a song about how they are able to CREATE a newly EXPERIMENTED sound but still be able to win the COMPETITION. In Back Door however, Han sang that "Last time was just a warmup, this time it's for a real party".
*Hence, we can say that SKZ is literally opening up an entrance that technically should only be for authorized people. They are opening it up for people in white hoods, the non-exclusives. They represent us. They represent STAYS. SKZ is letting us Stays enter their party, and join in the fun.
I can't say it ate up God's menu, both of em were good.. this is where stray kids really shine.. they're dominating.. top charts on most viewed comeback MV.
I don’t think anyone has suggested this yet, but Move by Taemin is one that I think would be great for you to do! It totally shook the whole kpop community when it came out. Also I love your reactions, it’s really cool to hear you break stuff down!

Love your reactions and your reference to musical performances it reminded me of West Side Story where isolation was the norm for Hispanic/Latino youth. I love the way the beat changes throughout and Love Felix’s kick, get out of my way attitude. Both brilliant performances

I had a similar but slightly different theory. When I perform with the symphony or other artists, on performance nights all singers/musicians are assigned to enter the “backstage door.”
Could the “back door” reference simply mean
“We’re here, we’re ready as ready gets, it’s time so the audience is in for a treat.
I like your interpretation of the back door, it makes me start to thinking about that too. I relate it to Stray Kids' music acceptence in Korea (front door because it's the place they come from) that less popular than outside Korea... so they use the back door instead (places outside Korea) to make their music and themselves getting known

Aaaaaahhhh you thought it was musical-like!!!! That's what I thought esp with the end of the MV where they have that 'dance break' and Felix does his little solo. It's almost theatrical. Also all the little interactions btn the members is more like musical choreo rather than the front-on, stage choreo that's more common in idol dances.
The part with i.n and the clock will probably be the best part of the choreo
I prefer the song "God's Menu", but when it comes to dance choreography I think "Back Door" the choreography is really unique.👍🏻✨

I feel like everyone when they first watched this was so focused on the music and members that most totally missed Han's outfit transitions and the fact that when Felix knocks the other members dissapear with each knock. There's more things but these catched my eye the most
