I just 'happened' upon your video. Never, have I heard a better explanation for counting decreases and how to identify them! This has always confused me and your example of tectonic plates....outstanding! You give us word pictures which is quite handy for some of us. Thank you!!

This video was a great help. I've been knitting for many years and never knew this information. I have usually fudged counting or tinked back a bit to see if I can figure out what row I am on. Thank you!

Thanks. What do you think of my new intro format? I am still experimenting. I don't want to detract from the educational part, but want to create a consistent look. Feedback please, good or bad.

Brilliant use of neon. And so helpful to understand what’s really happening beyond just how to make it happen. Thank you.

Hi, could you please make your videos searchable by abbreviation? So I could maybe type "Suzanne ssk" and get that? Because I have no idea what all those abbreviations mean and thus can't search by their proper names.

Can you be more specific? I am not quite sure what you are asking. I do have this video tagged with k2tog and ssk. If you give me more information on what you need I will work on it. Happy knitting.

Knitting with Suzanne Bryan Oh, didn't realise that. I got to this video because of a subscriber notification. Then, when you mentioned future videos about ssk then I thought I'd ask. I had no idea that this video was about ssk also 😮 But this is great to know, thanks 😊

You can use the information in this video for both ssk and k2tog. It is about reading your knitting in general. Glad you have subscribed. And good to hear from you! Happy knitting.

Knitting with Suzanne Bryan By the way, I've been dreaming of knitting a hat for kids where you appear to knit the ties first (it is a rib pattern) and then increase to do the ear flap and finish off with a cable pattern and a pom-pom. But however hard I try, my increases look ugly! (They are on the edges). And the flaps always turn out too long, because I can't increase as fast as I would if I was knitting the ear flaps from the other end (where you start at the finished hat and go down, finishing off at the tip where the ties will be attached). So if you ever need a video idea, please think of this. Thank you for your quick reply and for great tutorials 👍

Thanks. I am adding this to my video idea list. Try working your increases one stitch in from the edge. kfb can be worked every row or rnd. For example - kfb, k until 2 st rem, kfb, k1. Let me know what you think of this. Happy knitting.
