This song was actually sung first by LeeAnn Rimes but re-recorded by Trisha Yearwood, LeeAnn Rimes version is better. She was only 15 when she recorded it .
Yup...it was LeeAnn Rimes' song first :) And you're right...her version was so much better!!! Trust me...I played it so many times when the song first came out on CD.

Learn to play melody lines on your guitar. Go to Ultimate guitar and get the premium version and they tab out the vocal lines for guitar on any song trust shows it’s an official tab. You can CC change the instrument to vocals and it transposes if to guitar
Great Question... I know it's not totally related to your question but the very 1st thing I learned from Vinai 2 years ago was that whole pick hold between the index/middle finger he and other guitarist do. I would walk around all day with a pick stuck there and randomly pull it out into the playing position and then tuck it away and I'd move my middle, ring and pinky finger around simulating fingerstyle picking. Did this for several weeks, then moved it to guitar. Now I'm pretty good at it and use it all the time. Still always practicing the technique but much better than dropping the pick or setting on my knee. ;)
@@MarcusFHurt so the gist is to basically hold a pick between the thumb and middle finger? is it supposed to improve your playing?
@@showspotter No.. between the Index finger and Middle finger. Up close to the hand... like between "Proximal Phalanx" bones of each of those fingers. You will use your thumb to slid the pick off the Index finger (normal playing position) onto the middle finger, then clinch it down with the index finger to keep it from moving. But you have to do it high enough on the fingers so that you can still finger pick to some capacity with the index and middle fingers. shoot me an email and I can send you a video if you really are interested ;) MarcusFHurt@gmail.com
@@showspotter This is only a technique to allow the player to be picking 1 second, then quickly move to a fingerstyle playing, then back to picking all without having to put the pick down and pick it back up... that's all this does
