Classic Billy Idol song! RAYGUN thing is just for entertainment ;) I didn´t "play" it for real!
Stevens is so underrated. His riffs are giving Billy's songs so much energy. And Rebell Yell was one of THE best albums of the 80s for sure. Awesome performance, Juha.

for anyone wondering how he got the ray gun effect he just maxed the chorus pedal and pressed it on time that is the trick.
Iv'e been wondering this for years. It sound like a laser gun from star wars or something. I was always curious if it was the actual guitar.
There are videos on you tube where he shows the toy ray guns that he modifies to make the effect and how he holds it next to the pick up.
Billy idol comes over and does the ray gun for Stevie when they play it live.

Steve Stevens knows how to serve a song ... there's technical players that can astound you with their pyrotechnics but if the song sucks then who cares. He is a great player. Now guitar playing has turned into a gymnastics excercise. There's always a moment for flash but it has tp be at the right moments. Steve knows when to serve up at that penache when appropriate.

Hi, you are kind of a right there. Bass goes to e but the guitar stays in Gmaj7...that creates beutiful Em9 sound. Sometimes in their live versions you can see Steve playing that E5 chord...either way works beautifully 😃👍🎸🎸🙏🙏
