    This was such an amazing moment and super emotional. Especially when hearing Morris tearing up when talking to Turnbull after the game.

      Definitely. Vin Scully would do the same thing. He let the games special moments speak for themselves. Very good announcing by these guys.

      I would love it even more if they stopped their constant yapping during the entire 9th inning. Just shut up guys -- you add nothing by filling the air with vapid comments. These moments doesn't need anything from you to "enhance" them.

      I'm not a Tigers fan, I'm don't even live near Detroit. And Armando Galarraga will forever live on in my memories. Jim Joyce stole that man's legacy

      That was more than a no hitter that was a perfect game!!!! That was a shame but at least we haven’t forgotten about him. It actually made it more unforgettable than if he actually would of gotten it.

      @@Steve_643 very true, there's only 4 perfect games that I recall watching in my life EVER. i caught the back half of Randy Johnsons, all of Roy Halladay's, last 3 innings of Gallaraga's, and most of Matt Cain's. I think out of respect for the game, MLB should have a ceremony to honor him with changing the history book on it. every single person knows the call on the field shouldnt be upheld.

    We currently don't have the best record but tigers starting pitchers have been good all year and Turnbull is off to another good season!

      They have been good all year. We also have the youngest most promising pitching staff in the league I think if not definitely too two or three but age potential talent I think we are for sure number 1

      problem is the bullpen. tigers look good but that pen gives up too many runs. seems familiar to me tbh. 😂

      They got him for quite a good value at only 500k. Pretty cheap for the kind of potential he has.

      @@nickwagar7479 the hitting still has some serious issues, and the outfield is not good either, Grossman is a good addition to the offense but he isn’t the fastest guy and he can’t throw very far which means he is stuck in left field. Nomar Nazzara can’t get his bat going, and Akil badoo is still young. We are still about 1-2 years away from not being bad.

      We have 5 already so it’s pretty possible
      Also Seattle and Cleveland both have been no-hit twice

    I’m a Tigers fan, and I’ve always dreamed for a Tigers pitcher to get a no-hitter with the last pitch being a strikeout. Last night, I got my wish.

    May 18 th 2018 my mom passed away the night before her passing they played the Mariners and won the first game Tuesday I visit my mom and dad's grave site what happened that night I was at ease thank you Spencer and congrats God bless

      Funnily enough, at the start of this game, I audibly groaned when I saw angel was behind the plate. Luckily, Spencer pitched well enough so it didn’t matter lol.

      That is called a fielder's choice they chose to get the out at second. The batter doesn't get a hit because he caused an out.

    How does it count as a not hitter if the hitter made it to 1st base? He hit and got his eammate out but he made it to first, so doesn’t that count as a hit?

      @@AndresPerez-pp7rk as long as you get an out in a triple or double play scenario, it becomes a fielders choice so it’s a ground out regardless if someone is safe. If one or more of the runners they attempt to throw to are all safe on the hit, it is a infield single.

    I don’t watch baseball ever but I saw this on sportsnet, why is it a no hitter if the guy who hit the ball still got on base because they didn’t make a double play?

      When the fielder has a chance at a double play, and if the runner beats the throw it goes as a fielders choice and not a base hit so the no-hitter stays in play.

      @@austinhaacker3471 right, because they could have easily thrown out the batter who was going to first. They were trying to stop a run from scoring. So the batter "reached" on a fielder's choice.

      Fielder's choice = The fielder has a choice to either take a sure out @ 1st OR turn a double play at 1st & 2nd. Because he chose "double play" the hit by the batter is nullified. The error at first after getting the lead runner out @ 2nd, doesn't count as a hit for the Mariners.

    Mariners won two vs. SF Giants in opening series, then Mariners are now (21-22), and the SF Giants are (26-16). So I am not surprised at all. 👏 Wow. I know Dodgers will get us later, but I'm just feeling good that we have a better record than the M's.

      I think you mean something is *RIGHT* with the balls. They finally are using the right balls that don’t bounce super high or have small seams. This is what happens when technology meets talent, and we’re finally seeing pitchers dominate like they should.
