That was more than a no hitter that was a perfect game!!!! That was a shame but at least we haven’t forgotten about him. It actually made it more unforgettable than if he actually would of gotten it.

@@AndresPerez-pp7rk as long as you get an out in a triple or double play scenario, it becomes a fielders choice so it’s a ground out regardless if someone is safe. If one or more of the runners they attempt to throw to are all safe on the hit, it is a infield single.
I don’t watch baseball ever but I saw this on sportsnet, why is it a no hitter if the guy who hit the ball still got on base because they didn’t make a double play?
When the fielder has a chance at a double play, and if the runner beats the throw it goes as a fielders choice and not a base hit so the no-hitter stays in play.
@@austinhaacker3471 right, because they could have easily thrown out the batter who was going to first. They were trying to stop a run from scoring. So the batter "reached" on a fielder's choice.

Mariners won two vs. SF Giants in opening series, then Mariners are now (21-22), and the SF Giants are (26-16). So I am not surprised at all. 👏 Wow. I know Dodgers will get us later, but I'm just feeling good that we have a better record than the M's.
I think you mean something is *RIGHT* with the balls. They finally are using the right balls that don’t bounce super high or have small seams. This is what happens when technology meets talent, and we’re finally seeing pitchers dominate like they should.
This was such an amazing moment and super emotional. Especially when hearing Morris tearing up when talking to Turnbull after the game.
Every so often it feels good to be a Tigers fan !
This will definitely be remembered forever

I love how the announcers sat mute on the 2 Strike count to just let the moment tell it’s own story. Well done!
Definitely. Vin Scully would do the same thing. He let the games special moments speak for themselves. Very good announcing by these guys.

There’s already 5 in may not really a bold prediction

They changed the ball, there's like 80 pitchers dominating this year

Also Seattle and Cleveland both have been no-hit twice
with all of these no hitters

Miggy is the best defensive first baseman.
Ask a little question real quick
Why didn't it count a hit when the first baseman didn't catch the ball in the second to last out
That is called a fielder's choice they chose to get the out at second. The batter doesn't get a hit because he caused an out.
Wow! That's great. In 2021 is too hard to complete a game not hitter. Congratulations to Turnbull.💪💪
