this guy literally teaching me stuff that my teacher would always teach through the hard way but cool and easier. Like the lecture my teacher gives its as if my teacher is adding unnecessary details that we have to memorize as well as extra random stuff. I like this guy, cool guy. All you need to cover isinequalities, system of equations,quadratics,liner equations,functions,and just how to graph on the calculator. Ik it’s a lot but it was sm worth it I cramps everything in my head on the last four days just make sure you do the 2018 Algebra 1 Starr it’s extremely similar

i think this is easy and my algebra teacher recommended these videos for the STAAR test. i say the video is pretty good and easy to understand so its better to memorize. tomorrow i have the star and i hope it helps me a lot in the test. @@rylie3832 pretty easy, you just NEED to know how to graph on the calculator, and you’re all set. Just make sure you’re good at all the steps he says in his videos, AND also quadratic equations. There are 62 questions, which can be good and bad, if you get something wrong, it doesn’t affect you too much, but you have to manage you’re time. But overall, pretty easy if you use his strategy! Good luck! 🤍

As I got a 100 on both 6th and 8th STAAR tests and I'm about to take the algebra EOC on April 23rd, I see this as an absolute win (I'm in 8th grade and I'm in algebra 1 one year early). Also, I didn't like my own comment.

Can you do the video on how to guess properly? I usually just use the saying, “When in doubt, always choose c, ” but I usually get most of them wrong.
You have a good strategy. 👍
Historically A and D have been THEE LOWEST choices. B and C are have been the highest. (A guessing straight A or D would land you at about 11 correct questions AT THE MOST. Guessing straight B or straigu C would get you about 13 to 14 right. So the goal is..... Do the questions you KNOW how to do. Equivalent, then Domain and Range, then move to the ones that give you an equation + a graph, table, or points. Then do Slope, then do Word Problems.... and for the ones that you have NO IDEA how to do just pick a letter between B or C and guess that one for all the ones you have NO IDEA how to do. Hopefully with these videos you're able to go from guessing from A,B,C,D to scratching out some dumb choices and guessing between A,C or A,B or something like that. If you're stuck between choices like that and have no clue which one to pick. Well, the data says if you're stuck between A,B then pick B. If you're stuck between A, C pick C. If you're stuck between B, C then just pick one of those and ride it til the end.

Prior to watching this video two years ago I had taken the staar twice algebra one I’m a dumb ass so I knew I wasn’t gonna pass literally the night before I started watching this video next day I took my test and I found out I passed

I’m in 8 grade and I have algebra 1 I know some stuff but at the beginning of algebra was about 7th grade math but I didn’t know how to do that and when the first algebra benchmark came up I got a 36 and I was the only one to fail so I’m coming to this video to get some help so hopefully I pass the staar or whatever it’s called for algebra is in 9 months hopefully I do good
I've got videos on how to do it without a calculator and with the desmos calculator. Make sure your school lets you use the desmos calculator. It's 100% legal and ok to use on the tests.

The ti-Nspire is good too though, it solves for y and x so easily. I wish I had the time to make the videos for the 83-84 calculators and the Nspire. Im so sorry. I'll have them up for next year but for now I think you can do most of this in your Nspire, just by going to the spreadsheet and trying to type in the graphs the way I do them there. The syntax (way of typing it in) may be different but it should be the same concept.

When you labeled the variables, why did u specifically do 1.1, 2.2, 3.3 I found that confusing
Short Answer: it helps avoid getting multiple answers and making sure you find the right one that is equivalent. (Great question 👍, it's necessary)
Long Answer: since you cannot repat values for variables in the same problem. You have to assign each variable a different value. If you start at 1, then you run into problems because of how special 1 is. So you have to avoid it and use something else, the next logical number is 2, but 2 is always special and there are instances where plugging in 1 and 2 would not produce the correct "Equivalent" response. To avoid those instances you could use Prime Numbers starting at 3.... so using 3 for the first variable, 5 for the second, 7 for the third, and 11 for the 4th would work BUT it takes more brain power to remember those primes .... soooo I thought freak it, let's try to make it as simple as possible and use 1.1 for the first and then 2.2 for the second and 3.3 for the third and so on. This way: 1) it's easier to remember and 2) we won't run into and instances where there is a special case that gives us a false Equivalent.
