I cannot wait to get this mould. I preordered it & also preordered boughs of holly. I keep a small tree on my dining table. I make some kind of ornament to fill the tree with. Last year was little gnomes. I always host Xmas eve & send my guests home with an ornament off the centerpiece tree. I cannot wait to send them home with snowflakes & tree ornaments this year!! I'm with you Lorraine! I just found these moulds over the past couple of months and I already have 15 of them! ❤They are incredible! IOD sisters, please bring back "Boughs of Holly" and this original snowflake mould, they are such great staples for Christmas! I've looked everywhere and no one has them anymore 😥

Omgoodness, I am so in love 💕 with this snowflake mold!! My 1st granddaughter will be born any day now and I think I’m going to make her own Boho colored snowflake ornament Christmas tree!! With wood beads..........oh my.....how fun! All the ideas running through my head! 💕 ❄️

Cathlynn, great idea! My mom, with her grandchildren, and my sister, with hers, have created a lovely Christmas tradition that you might like to pick up. They give the grandchildren ornaments that are related: my niece gets masks, and my nephew gets cars. Every year since they were born, they've received this special ornament. It stops on the Christmas after the person's 18th birthday, so when they move out on their own, their first Christmas tree has all these beautiful ornaments they've been given. It's a wonderful thing between generations. Just think, you could make snowflakes for your grandchild for the next 18 years! and I wish you joy.
Wynter Mackenzie - My daughter and I have this same tradition with my grandchildren, My Granddaughter gets a shoe ornament, one grandson gets transportation on earth, and another grandson gets transportation in the sky. It so fun finding them their special one each year. My granddaughter just married this year, so now I have to start finding her and her hubby something new. She likes boho which I can probably do a design with the snowflakes.

35 years ago when I became a single Mom, my daughter and I decorated our first Christmas tree with gingerbread cookie ornaments. We decorated them with lace and buttons. I wish I still had them. It was such fun- You can also make ornaments from applesauce and cinnamon- these smell really good-

Hi there! You don't need to, but you can! I would recommend just a simple spray sealer like Krylon🤗

Hi there! Unfortunately, this snowflake mould was from 2020 and it is almost impossible to find now. We did do a remake of this mould last year, it's called Blitz. You may still be able to find it. I am going to experiment with food coloring for the resin. Maybe add paint color for depth.

These are so beautiful. My question, can you back to back the clay to make an ornament like you do for the resin? Would you be able to add string between the two as well?
Absolutely! That would be an amazing project. I haven't experimented with that yet, but I bet you could find some makers over in our IOD Creative Tribe on Facebook with experience and advice for adding the string.

You could make these with clay as well, as long as you have some good glue. I like to use tight bond.

Is there any way to color the resin? Someone else asked about glitter, and I'm also thinking about a papercrafting product that is liquid glitter [not glitter glue, it's a paste]. I love snowflakes, and this one is beautiful!
Hi Wynter, I would search this over on the creative tribe page. I have seen people post that they experimented with powdered pigments and even just adding a small amount of acrylic paint to tint the resin. 😊
You can add mica powders, resin powders, alcohol inks, acrylic paints ( gives more opaque look), glitter - to your resin. When adding alcohol ink, might take a bit longer to set up. Two part Resins vary in set up times. Check out some resin art videos on RUclips for links on where to purchase the resin and mica powders. PearlEx works nicely, as an example. Edited to add - just ordered your Trimmings Moulds 1 & 2 and the snowflakes and Christmas trees were sold out. Will check another inline store. It is, but we have a new one that we just released called Blitz and it is SO beautiful🥰
